First game I owned on steam... still come back to it once and a while.

If you have Beamng.drive, BUY THIS GAME RIGHT NOW. I have spent countless hours building and tuning cars to export to beamng, and it is soooooo much fun. Yeah the customization isn't the greatest, yeah there aren't a whole lot of cars to choose, but the workshop content adds some decent variety.

*If you are expecting a fun and engaging campaign, don't buy this game, it's not very good as of yet...

That being said, if you just want to build dope cars and race them around in Beamng.drive, this is an absolute must have. Also, I've learned a whole lot about how cars work in general, so I guess you could say it is somewhat educational.

WHY TF DOES 1.0 HAVE MORE GLITCHES THAN THE EARLY ACCESS WTF?!?!?!?!?!

...still a good game wait a week and the glitches will subside.

Fantastic game. Its emphasis on skill is very great but only appeals to a niche class of gamers, so almost no one bought the game. It's a damn shame. Then, the devs strayed from the core gameplay with the 1.4 update that made the game even less individualy skill based and more like a team shooter instead of an arena shooter which it had going for it. OW comparisons are getting harder to deny. RIP

BTW I played this game in open beta and I loved it. What a shame to say that I don't want to buy it anymore.

This game is fun, you will have fun for a some time. Eventually you'll realize that you have to pay quite a bit to actually progress to higher tiers without endlessly grinding. And, this game sucks for new players because your stuff is absolutely no match for experienced players.

Summary: fun if you are extremely patient or if you have lots of money to spend.

Pros:
- I love the map editor and the many tools provided to you which can help you create beautiful cities and landscapes. Not to mention mods that make the game look better too.

- great graphics

- fun/unique city sim

Cons:
- glitchy and visually displeasing vehicle pathfinding system. Some mods attempt to fix this issue but most fail.

- rare terrain glitches that sometime interfere with building and look like ♥♥♥♥.

- some utilities and services don't repond quick enough. This leads to giant flashing notifications everywhere which bugs the hell out of me. (maybe its because I build terrible road systems idk)

- Some features are missing in the base game. For example lights, certain types of transit, venues for events, etc. that should be in the game are not there. (you can buy $70 worth of DLC that fix some of these issues... $70 WTF DEVS!!!)

- community mods have more quality content than the DLC... let that sink in.

- lack of unique building types (mods can fix this)

- graphically demanding (also if your city grows over 75,000 pop. RIP frames)

Overall:

Cities: Skylines is a beautiful game but it lacks some basic content. There are tons of awesome community mods out there that add lots of unique things... some of which should have already been a part of the game itself. Don't buy the DLC unless you have lots of money sitting around that you don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about. This game has already consumed a large amount of my time so I can't say that I dislike the game.

Devs please fix the terrain glitches, the vehicle pathfinding system, and most importantly add in the basically essential missing content for free and then this game would be the best city builder on the market hands down.
