Playstation now no longer requires a PSN account for Steam players. Let nothing stop the spread of managed democracy.

I bought this on sale on impulse due to the overwhelmingly positive reviews for it, and after playing the game, it certainly deserves its highly positive reception (currently at 98% positive overall as of posting this review). Like the other reviews, I recommend playing this game blind, knowing as little about the story as possible beyond what the store page tells you.

The game is a puzzle adventure game, where most of the time you'll be finding items and talking to people in order to progress to the next area. The storytelling is among the best I've seen in a game, and it really made me want to explore as much as I could and learn as much as I could about the game's world. I highly encourage players to look everywhere, and only look at a walkthrough after you've exhausted your options if you're ever stuck.

This game was an unforgettable experience for me, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good story-driven game.

A fun action platforming shooter game where you make use of air-dashing and time-slowing mechanics to dodge enemy attacks and move around the levels. While the levels themselves are pretty short (you can complete each level in a few minutes), they are well designed, and the different difficulties increases the replayability. As you play on higher difficulties, enemy attacks and stage hazards change in ways that significantly change gameplay.

Since the story can be finished pretty quickly, the game strongly encourages replaying the stages on higher difficulties to unlock characters and weapons (although for the most part you'll likely stick with the default dual pistols). There are also achievements that encourage replaying stages, mainly ones for maintaining a high style rating, or for completing stage-specific objectives. There is also an arcade mode which has you playing through the entire game on one life (without any healing) and a challenge mode where you can fight up to 3 bosses at once.

I personally recommend playing this with a controller. Using a keyboard isn't too bad, but I prefer using the analog stick for more control when air-dashing.
