This game is made by the same guy who did the Battle Royale mod for Arma 2 and 3 (to my knowledge). In its current state (early access) it is a WONDERFUL middle ground between Arma 3 BR realism and H1Z1 arcade. The game isn't too arcade-y but isn't slow either. Truthfully, I've never played H1Z1 but have many friends that I've watched play it. After two hours I could see myself enjoying this more than Arma 3 BR and Ark: Survival of the fittest.

I find this game to be very accessible and easy to understand right away from the gameplay mechanics, to the ui, and etc. It reminds me of editing in Sony Vegas compared to Premiere Pro, Vegas can do all the same stuff (almost) but is WAY more accessible and easy to understand to someone starting out. An example would be the tiers of weapons and gear is including the title of the weapons. "Oh this backpack is lv.3, I should clearly upgrade from my lv.1".

I see people complaining about bugs and optimization (for an early access game btw). I Personally, in 7 hours have only had ONE issue, fps drops 1 in 7 games to 15fps for 3 seconds when I first deploy out of the plane. Then back up to 60+ right away. I'm NOT saying bugs and optimization issues don't exist, I just havent really encountered any. BUT, you have to realize....this game runs on the ARMA 3 engine. Have you ever played Arma2 or 3? THAT CRAP AIN'T OPTIMIZED (as much as I love those games). I get WAY better fps in this game compared to BR in Arma 3.

This Dev has never given me any reason not to trust them, and I'm pretty picky about my purchases of early access games and pre-orders (insert unending list of bad devs with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ pre-order rewards and unfinished EA titles).

Short Version:

This game is great solo or with friends. Bugs and optimization issues exist, just not for everyone, like myself. I don't think its right to down vote a game in early access when they're releasing patches regularly, and tbh it deserves a recommendation even in its current state. Its much faster paced than Arma 3 BR, but not nearly as realistic. Its slower than H1Z1 but way more realistic. Its a beautiful middleground between the two. They valued FUN over realism. They promote INTELLECT and STRATEGY in this game.

Driving mechanics are on point too.

not optimized, but they warned of us that, so fair game. Get a controller. People still twink characters at low level, idk why. Well I do, cause they're bad, but w.e. Is good, enjoy. look up the lore.

is good. Needs more ban list filters for multiplayer, but still very good.

Only 2 hours in....the Voice (narrator) is funny. I love all the references (skyrim, monty python, stanley pariable, etc). Combat is good and clean, coop works wonderfully. Loot system is great, I like it a LOT more than I thought I would.

This is not a fun game. You will not find joy in this game. You should still play it. You will learn empathy.

fun party game. best for local gaming.

I bought for mods. Story is pretty.......meh. DLC is pretty......underwhelming. Get on sale.

Don't do ironman on first playthrough. Or do, live your own life. And die.

Its a good game. I don't think its as amazing as people say it is, but its good. I play it once every other week I suppose.
