Devs, that was just too low..

For about 6 hours of gameplay this game was great. The first part of the game is exactly what was promised. A spooky escape room card battler with deckbuilding. I enjoyed it a lot, everything from the visuals to sounds was great.

BUT...

After the first act of the game the gameplay changes radically. The game becomes a 2D retro pixelmess, which is absolutely unbearable. And how conveinient, this portion of the game comes after roughly 6 hours, when you can't request a refund. This is false advertising in its purest form.

As a result, I wasn't able to finish the game due to the uneding tediousness of the second act. Moreover, I would totally accept if I was informed about it before buying the game. But there is NOT A SINGLE picture of this gameplay change on the store page. Never thought I would be bamboozled this hard by a video game.

Simply put - a masterpiece. An absolutely increadible game.

I am convinced that all the negative reviews are coming from people who's pc's can't run the game and from people who don't have their own opinions and just reinforce trending points of view, such as the countless memes. I have no other explanations for hating this game.

From the storytelling perspective, it is basically flawless. In Cyberpunk 2077 I was able to remember every character by their name and surname, which is extremely rare for modern games. Another great thing is the soundtrack. It has plenty of tracks of different genres which are used appropriately. The story is exeptionally emotial and cinematic. Also, there are several different endings, and none of them is a truly good and bad one. Each one has its strengths and weaknesses, which is absolutely increadible.

Graphically, this game is unique. I can't think of any other open-world game with better looking environment and lighting than Cyberpunk. In other words, Night City is the most charming map I have ever seen.

From the technical point of view, the game is badly optimized and the npc AI is rather underdeveloped. Police chases are absent, which is a massive flaw. But after all, this is not a multiplayer game where high FPS and the absence of lags is a crucial factor. In my opinion, as long as bad optimization and bugs do not interfere with the storytelling it is fine.

To conclude, objectively one of the best games ever made. Amazing story and extremely immersive world. "A thing of beauty - I know. Will never fade away"
