While I enjoy the game a lot and have enjoyed many previous releases. This version has many bugs and issues that make it more for diehard fans only (like me) and will unfortunately put many others new players off playing or continuing the game. For instance the game is still VERY difficult to get working in 2HG game mode and the game still crashes most days, desyncs, and has errors (way more than a game that has been out for a long time now should have). The fact some of these still havent been patched out of the game by now is appalling.

Communications from Stainless Games is very poor or nonexistant and patches are a long time being released. Even when they do release them they are often poorly done or dont fix many of the bigger issues (they do seem to be working on this). Previous games had statistics, ingame chat, and a game that just worked. This release has been buggy from the start and lacks features previous versions had.

So basically they have released a "simpler" game with fewer options and features. The devs also built a buggy game when the older core games releaased before this had more features did nearly everything better anyways. No need to reinvent the wheel - it was already done for you. You could have just built on the features of the previous game and added new card sets instead of building the mess that is Magic Duels.

Wizards of the Coast have really dropped the ball on this one allowing Stainless games to release the game the way it is. I tried to get a number of people playing this game at release but it was so poor (espcially at the start) that they have gone now to other games that just work and they dont have the hassle. A poor release like this puts new people off playing it and they go play other games such as Hearthstone. It also gives the franchise a bad name for any future game releases. Sadly Stainless Games will have lost many potential new Magic players forever with how this game has been released and bungled, still to this very day.
