Early Access Review
Interesting combination of automation and exploring on a large scale. Plenty to find and do, and enough random chance with discovering alternate recipes that there won't be an obvious single path to optimization. Fun and relaxing alone, even more fun with the (almost completely stable) multiplayer.

If you like building and industry type games definitely check this one out.

*update* A year later and STILL going strong with new content. Would still strongly recommend.

*update update* Full release and it just keeps getting better - still a strong "buy" from me.

Fun survival-crafting game with a good aesthetic. Definitely more fun with friends. You run out of new content pretty quickly, but there is no "end" as of the time of writing this review, so you can still jump on and keep sailing around for some casual fun.

Not only does Alyx hold up as a Half-Life game (seriously, it will make you feel like it's 2004 again and you haven't missed a beat since HL2) but it sets the gold standard for what a VR FPS should look like in 2020. I don't have a single bad thing to say about this game. I had high expectations and it crushed them all; story is solid, pacing is solid, acting and writing are on point, and most importantly: the use of the VR medium is flawless. At least viewed through the lens of current best tech, interaction with the environment is so natural that after 15 minutes you'll feel like this is how you've always experienced games.

TL;DR: Just go play it!

Free-running and zombie killing, story ain't great but it is silly enough to be entertaining. Definitely one to play with a group, not solo, for the full experience. Well worth the $$

Easy to learn, good, clean, friendly sabotage that stays casual enough to pick up and play when the squad doesn't have enough time or energy to play something more involved. You will be laughing and screaming at your friends. 9/10

Some of the most fun in a non-copetitive co-op game I've ever had. Highly recommend if you have at least one good, silly, friend to play it with.

For less than 5 bucks: BUY IT. You will not be disappointed.

If someone had told me I would enjoy Saints Row more than GTA 3/VC/SA I don't know if I would have believed them. Now I can honestly say I enjoyed Saints Row 4 (and 3) more than any other game in the genre. Gameplay is satisfying, story is entertaining, and humor is on point. It’s what GTA could have been if it didn’t decide to try way too hard and take itself way too seriously.

If you’re new to the series I’d suggest playing 3 before 4. The earlier ones can be safely skipped.

Do you like “rogue-like” gameplay? Do you like squad/fleet management? Do you like vehicle customization? Do you want all of this rolled up in a beautifully-simple, elegant package with a space-western backdrop (and retro graphics)? Congratz: convoy is for you.

Solid gameplay, plenty to unlock, and enough content to make each game different while keeping the replay value pretty high.

If it’s on sale for 5 bucks or less I’d say you could easily get your money’s worth out of it even if you don’t love the genre I described above as much as I do.

Certainly better than Invisible War, Human Revolution is able to capture much of that original Deus Ex magic. I don't see the replay value as being amazing, but I do see myself firing it up again at least once in the future.

Totally awesome if you, like me, don't have a problem really getting into games.
