Does it have issues running on newer hardware? Yes.
Does it have outdated resolution? Yes,
Is it a simple and good game, so good that it trumps those issues? Yes.
Is it the best item shop rpg out there? Yes.

What more could be said about Recettear? It's one of my favorite games and I'm happy to finally have purchased it on steam.
