I am writing this review directly after finishing the main story. The game is phenomenal. In fact, this may be the best indie title of all time. Despite being a platformer, every room feels like a puzzle. If you wish to reach the summit, you must, just like Madoline, stay confident in your abilitys, and stay confident in your self. I would like to compare this game to Dark Souls, not because of difficulty, (although this game is incredibly difficult) but because every move and jump you make must be perfectly strategized. Because of this, completing a challenging screen is incredibly satisfactory. However, gameplay is not the only skill that this game is proficient in. Despite only having five characters, each is fleshed out perfectly; Madoline, the protagonist, is developed perfectly. She suffers from anxiety, but after being helped by other amazing characters, like Theo, is able to overcome it. Overall this game is one of the best experiences i've had in the past two years, and I believe it deserves a 10/10.
