Awesome game. I really can't wait for the early access. Up there in the top 3 of the genre already. Highly recommend.

This game is great. But I have played DnD my whole life and the pathfinder ruleset is not that different. I play turned based combat btw. I must say though that owlcats implementation of TBC is not as good as the old mod for turn based combat, but it does suffice. Unity mod manger is also easy enough to use just drag and drop.

Now as a table top gamer I love all the information presented. I am retired so I have all day to read all the info provided. I can spend 15 minutes just mousing over all the info on the character sheet on one character.

As a RTwP action game, well I don't know because I HATE that system. In my opinion BG 1 and 2 and both Icewind Dales would have been better served with TBC and maybe a butto to go RTwP like this game presents. For the easy combats.

If you have never played a table top RPG pen and paper game I would say this game will overwhelm you. But if you are a vet there is much to enjoy.

Who may like it: Old grognards who enjoy the reading of everything. you know who you are, having bought the old DnD players manual, DM guide, all the monster manuals, deities and demi-gods etc. We like reading.

Who may not like this: people who hate or can't read, younger instant gratification players. Even perhaps ARPG players who don't enjoy soaking up every detail of the world.

On the fence with this game. On the one hand the tackles and absurdity you can adjust is pretty fun. On the other hand it lacks features that I would like. As in setting up a season and being able to control all teams on the management side and then allowing cpu vs cpu games to be watched in that season. Refunded for now but if the dev adds these features I will most certainly purchase again. And honestly I am not hopeful as the dev states how busy he is with all things except development of the game.

I am not the most avid fan of ARPG's. I like some and this is probably one of my top 2. I know it is a game designed for whales but you can have a great time for free and I even spent some money on cosmetics to support the developers. If you like ARPG's this is one of the best IMO.

It is engaging for what it is. A resource gathering craft/build type game but on the simplest level. Not that its bad in anyway, just dont expect complicated recipes etc. I will say that I believe the resource gathering and requirements for upgrading seem about perfect to me. Not so fast as you are done in an hour or too slow where you feel like it's a chore.

I feel it needs about 3 times as many items of weapons clothing and accessories, but it is only a little sparse in the direction of mundane. Despite this I still find myself engaged for multiple hours when I fire it up.

So what is it? Make no mistake it is a menu game. No turned based or real time combat, no action in 1st or 3rd person view, point and click, get a result. It shouldn't take long after watching the steam store video to get what this game is.

There is however little documentation as to how you do certain things. A simple game guide text page would have gone a long way to help it's standing in the gaming world.

The atmospheric sounds are good enough to give you the feeling of being in a zombie world, if not just barely.

Overall I would rate it as 6-7/10.

Fun, but you have to like grinding.

One of the more challenging and fun bullet heaven games

Fun. Not your traditional rogue-like dungeon crawler. There will be times when you will absolutely hide in the dark dousing your lamp and hoping you remain undetected. It does however take some reading to get an understanding of everything. While seemingly obvious on the surface dig a little deeper and the mechanics start to open up and you realize what really does what.

Good so far. Keeps getting updates which is why I am waiting to invest more time.

Well I havent played a ton but what I have experienced I like. Tactics matter, cool downs need to be watched, and there is an injury system that can really mess you up.
