As someone who has beaten SOTFS 15+ times between console and PC, I decided to give the vanilla a try because, why not more Dark Souls?

This is the better version of the game. The enemy placement is much more practical. This is especially noticeable in areas like the Iron Keep. SoTFS dumped a significant amount of random enemies throughout the world that just served as an annoyance - I am no longer consistently dying to frustrating ganks caused by enemy spam. I also find myself clearing out areas more strategically, as opposed to running straight through which i did frequently in some of the annoying areas of Scholar.

Furthermore, the use of the fragrant branches makes much more sense. There are multiple statues that exist in Scholar to block you from progressing that simply don't exist in the vanilla version. I remember in Scholar having to backtrack multiple times to find a fragrant branch, so I can open up a blocked path (example: Lost Bastille before Ruin Sentinals, Black Gulch 2nd bonfire).

Lastly, the visuals are exactly the same. Frames are fine, textures are fine, it all feels like the same game.

TL:DR; When compared to SOFTS, Vanilla DS2 has better enemy placement and world design, and runs exactly the same for me from a performance standpoint. It's sad that FromSoft re-released this game with a new price tag on it, yet seemingly made it worse. Vanilla DS2 is simply a more pleasant experience.

The game is most definitely riddled with issues and bugs that weren't/aren't present in the other souls games. Regardless, I still have a lot of fun playing it. It has its positives in its own merit. If you are new to the series this should not be the first one you play.

Unfortunately, however, the servers have been down for months and it looks like they will continue to be down. I will still recommend this game though!

I really enjoyed this game. Once I got the hang of it it wasn't too hard. The camera shaking got slightly annoying at times. Game was really fun to play with the sound off and some really fast music on. The gunner is the most fun and best class!

Fantastic game in just about every facet. The frame issues are there occasionally, but it is not nearly enough to ruin the experience.

Endless content for the price tag, great with friends, fun to grind and play over and over again.

Great support from the devs, large updates come frequently with tons of new additions and changes.

This game is incredibly unique. While the entire game can be played with just the click of the mouse, it is much more than a clicker game. It tells a unique story, and involves hidden elements in order to find certain items and resources. These items you come across are used later in the game! While the game itself is short, if you pick it up during a sale you won't be dissapointed. A very pleasant and casual game :).

Man.. this game sucks. But at the same time, it's fun and addicting. Zero Reflex is a bullet hell game that sends waves of bullets at you from a center eye. Your only controls are left and right to go around the circle that your character is locked to. Be warned, it could be a bit confusing to control which way is left/right when you are at the top of the circle!

The game offers 3 difficulties, one being harder than the previous. With each successive difficulty, you are given less life to beat the levels, and are reset back a few levels every time you die. This can be extremely frustrating, as you have to re-do levels you already completed and potentially die to get set back even further. Every level is 30 seconds, with 20 stages per difficulty.

I have completed this game a few times in normal mode, and can confirm I am both not good at it and it is extremely difficult to master. However, I would recommend this game. Between the cheap price, addicting and challenging gameplay, and cool visuals, it is worth it to pick up.

Tough game, provides decent entertainment.

A very casual indie game to play when you're bored.

Would recommend, b/c cheap price and decent fun.
