I bought it out of boredom while home with covid, turned out that the game was so good i enjoyed every minute of it!

3 Pros that comes to mind atm:
Engaging plot with a lot of references to the roman story and multiple endings.
Polished gameplay.
Good and balanced rpg factor

3 Cons that comes to mind...:
Probably the graphic feels a bit old for a 2022 game
The trailers are.. meh...
No forced woke s...tuff, oh wait, that is a good thing lol!

Helldivers 2 is a really nice game, i had my own slice of fun especially when playing at maximum difficulty. Congrats to the devs in upgrading a game like Helldivers 1 into this.

Why the negative review? Basically because I am disappointed with the recent changes made from Sony about PSN and i want to support all those that think this way. I am not going deep into explaining the reasons of this choice, you will find plenty of comments about the topic around.

Here are my 2 cents, I will uninstall and possibly refund the game and forget about it in hope that Sony stop messing around with a game that was already working great. Cheers

I've seen and appreciated the effort of the develops in making this nice game.
Gameplay is engaging.
Lenght is around 50h, I took it with a slow pace.
The plot is nice.
The social aspect of the game beetween characters is, in my opinion, good as it is. (I do not like to spend hours searching and speaking with characters like in Fire Emblem)

In short it is a good game. I am tempted to start a second campaign, sooner or later.

I just love this game, I recently became a dad (yay!) and I do not have time to play anymore but it happens sometimes, when my mind is free to wander, that I think how to improve the base on this game. Then I start the game on the evening and tryout my ideas only to find out that they do not work as I intended to and they need further improvement. :D

The game is about adaption, science, logic, management and a good slice of fun in problem solving. If you like these things you will most likely become obsessed with the game ;)

TLTR: Yes.

I'd like to say that when I play a game I like to think ideas to improve the experience I am getting into. I tried a lot of rts/tbs rpg crpg etc.... and ideally I imaged how a tbs crpg should be in order to be interesting, fun and challenging.
When i finally tried out this game (bought at the release date, pc not strong enough, changed house, new pc assembled, bla bla bla, some time passed) I knew i had find the game i dreamt about and i had an awesome experience at playing through it! For real, good job Larian guys!

For the new players approaching the game:
Keep in mind that this game is a cprg
Expect creative ways to solve battles and problems (I love this aspect)
Enjoy a good plot along with a good soundtrack
Enjoy the gameplay mechanics and the UI, both of them are very "user friendly"
The "building"/leveling system it's very well done and invites you to use the brain to "assemble" your own perfect build in order to complete the game. What I am trying to say is that my final build can differ a lot from yours and you will still be able to complete the game because this game allows multiple gamestyles. I also suggest not to copy others build, if you fail, change the build and try again, simple as that.
If you are used to crpg, start with DOS1 and then go for this one as I did.

TLTR: Played this game on medium / high settings since day 1 on a good 4yr old PC and I loved it!

Yes game crashed like 15 times in 100hr of game, that got fixed from the patches!
Yes I found an annoying bug that forced me to replay 30 min of the game, not a big deal, it probably got fixed..
Yes I punched a "secondary boss" in the concrete floor and killed it without problems, I reloaded for the challenge and that was the only time this bug occurred and that's it, these are the only major bugs i found in this game.

Allow me to say that you do not buy this game because you want some GTA clone, this is not GTA and it is not pretending to be GTA.

In this game missions are very polished, deep and engaging, i got a lot of fun doing them. (Which is not common)
Aesthetically speaking this game is just awesome.
Technically speaking... I've seen A LOT of effort on the ideas but also a poor optimization around them. They are fixing things up so I would not worry too much about it.

What about all the negative critics?
I am no expert on the matter, i could start writing about the excessive hype, next gen game bla bla bla too many words were spent on these things from other people, i think that this is a great game with it's own personality.

Do i recommend this game?
Yes, even full priced if you like the style, then again, do not see it as an open world for a casual gamer.

I wanted to like this game, i really wanted...
And guess what? I like it!
Its immersive, the historical background is interesting, the plot is engaging and while most similar games give that bitter "Im lost" sensation.. this one guides you in a natural way until you are ready to leave a mark in a such cruel world.
I did not find bugs, maybe im not good at finding them or maybe they were fixed, either way Im having fun with this game which is also the reason Im recommending it even at full price.

- Bought the game
- Gone through the tutorial and got some tricks to make basic things to work
- Gone through the campaign and felt ready to engage the enemy only when inside an armed car with at least three turrets backing me up
- Started a new game
- Felt lost
- Tried to build something similar to a base
- Failed
- Started a new game
- Rushed to a great start
- Nearly crumbled mid/lategame because of poor optimization
- Finished the game in the most "newbie way" possible
- Started a new game
- Rushed to a glorious midgame
- Discovered most of the potential of the game
- Brought out the worst and caused a huge fire over a forest because of a new toy called flamethrower turret
- Realized that im still a newbie
- Found out that its 4am and all i could think of is how to improve some connection to get a massive automation of some resources

Factorio

I want to be honest, im writing this review only because of the nomination steam event that is going on these days but hey.. this game deserves some attention so i gave him a worthy award, the "just 5 more minutes" award. I started to waste hours to play with some lunar mission module 2d 45 pixel game decades ago and now i find out a game like this so I wont be spending many words to say that i love this game.

My experience in 10 steps:

1) Tried the game because i like this stuff, i didnt know what to expect
2) Found out funny intro / trailers, casual gamer friendly UI and not some boring tedious stuff
3) Found out that i can actually build a rocket so my first question is how big, first half our gone looking the research tree
4) Started the rocket, chute + engine started at the stage, destroyed the rocket
5) After a few tries I found out that its possible to get outside of the rocket, lost the dude in space
6) Re started the campaign because i started to take it seriously and i actually wanted to optimize everything
7) Re started the campaign in easy mode and felt like a noob
8) Achieved first orbit, first lunar crash/landing, first crazy design rockets..
9) After hundreds hours I reached the last planet with a 900t missile that kinda messed up my old pc for about 15 min
10) I recently re started the campaign after a while and optimized everything because everytime i achieved something i wanted to achieve it better, this is the effect the game does on me

tltr: creativity + fun mixed together = 5am
