in episode 93 of the original dragon ball series, tien shinhan uses the kamehameha wave, a move which can only be taught by people who trained under the turtle hermit school, or under someone who trained under the turtle hermit school (the only exception being vegeta). it took master roshi himself 50 years to create the wave. we later find out tien was able to use the kamehameha wave due to his mimicry ability. this ability means he can copy any move he sees the first time he sees it. tien shinhan has witnessed goku going ultra instinct at the tournament of power. tien shinhan can go ultra instinct. this confirms tien's potential to be greater than gohan, goten, trunks, or cell. tien also would be the second character to go ultra instinct, not to mention he has seen goku go kaio-ken. goku's power level before the tournament of power is 7 billion. after going ultra instinct he has a power level of 140,000,000,000,000,000,000
