After about a year and hundreds of hours playing this, i can definitely say that you can have some good time by playing the many small, and most of the times, funny stories of the game, unlocking a huge amount of characters and learn a lot of things about the Dungeons & Dragons multiverse. The progress is ok for a f2p game, personaly i've only spend money to buy some DLC's that were part of a Humble Bundle. Easy to learn and several ways of strategy to use on each map since there are over 120 heroes to choose from, each with their own skills and perks to give advandages at your party. And they keep adding new characters regularly along with many seasoned events.

The game that started a new genre of survival Co-Op / Versus games.
Great gameplay with easy to learn controls, intense sound effects, graphics that give a nice dark atmosphere.
A variety of killers and survivors to choose from that keeps growing bigger and bigger regularly with almost every update.
Today, 8+ years after it's release, i nominate it once more with the steam "Labor of Love" award. Not much needed to say about the love and care the developers have shown to their game and from it to us, the gamers. And this is my way as a gamer to return the love to them.

This is not exactly a review but since i feel the mixed reviews the game has is unfair and I've already spend a lot of hours having fun with my friends, i would like to give it a thumbs up.
I am a pre-release owner of the ultimate edition (also played a few hours of the beta before that) and I've seen this game getting better and better with every update. There are still a few things to be fixed or improved here and there but it's all going to the right direction.
And this is coming from a Left 4 Dead fun who has thousands of playing time on both L4D1 & L4D2 and L4D1 is actually my favorite game of all time.

A nice little platformer that takes about an hour to complete 100%.
Controls are ok, some (few) levels require extremely good timing but that's normal for games like this. Graphics are very simple, music is somewhat boring.
I would give this a neutral rating but since i can't, i will give it a positive.
It is cheap but still, buy when on discount.

I play this game since it was out and can't stop playing it, after all those years. Multiplayer is all the money.

Gameplay: 8/10. Great controls and you can customize them as you like. Shooting hordes of zombies like crazy.
Bill: "We can take the subway tunnels to the hospital. There's a Red Line station not far from here."
Louis: "Sounds good."
Zoey: "Well, I guess we're going to the hospital."
Francis: "That's better than my plan."
Bill: "What was that?"
Francis: "I didn't have one."

Graphics: 7/10. They are old but they still do their job.
Francis: "Have a heart, we got a helpless old man with us!"
Bill: "Close your mouth and open your eyes, Francis. You'll aim better."

Sound/Music: 8/10. Adds to the tense. Try to shoot a blipping car if you want to learn how.
Francis: "I hate birds."
Zoey: "Yeah. Birds are dicκs."

Story: 7/10. There is a virus that turned human kind into zombies. Don't ask how it started, don't ask how it will end. You watch The Walking Dead series for 10 years already and you still don't know either of those, how do you expect to learn them from a game!
Francis: "Hey, Zoey-when I drive us outta here, don't SHOOT me, alright?"
Zoey: "The pilot was a zombie, Francis!"

Replay Value: 10/10. Well, did I mention that multiplayer is all the money? You will play a little on Single Player mode to learn it but it gets boring very fast. Just find one of the many servers and play with the still big amount of players who can't stop playing this game!
Francis: "Man, Zoey is pi$sed."
Louis: "I'm pi$sed too!"
Francis: "Really? This is you pi$sed?"
Bill: "Y'know, Francis, we'd all think you were a lot smarter if you said less."

Overall: 8/10. One of my favorite games of all time, if not ΤΗΕ favorite!
