Don't be fooled by its positive review score. I genuinely loved the game.. to the point it just suddenly stopped. The community is nice (but dwindling) and if you have friends who can join you, you'll love it a lot too. The story was so well written and was going to some incredibly detailed places. Then the writing just... stopped.

The only updates are cash grab cosmetics. Nothing of substance. I believe it's mainly due to a change in direction as to what they envisioned for the game. That's what I can gather. It's really sad, the cozy vibes with farming, fishing and catching bugs and gathering wood and stone and ore. All of that leads to pretty much nowhere.

Although I have to add, the building mechanic is terrible (coming from the kind of crazy builds you can see in games like valheim), you have to do frustrating leaps of insanity to make a simple stairs for your house (out of shelves).

tl;dr: If you are looking for cozy stardew vibes with family/friends. This game will give it to you, promise you alot and then abruptly just stop after a while. Only reason to play: you have to introduce someone new to gaming, this game is VERY newbie friendly.

It's not strange to see a good game developer make a good game. It's just a shame there are so few of them around. Wish AAAA developers took a page out of their book.

This is a step above even Hades, and if you've played that, then you know that this is a serious claim. And I'm happy to make it.

Don't rush the game. Take it at your own pace and enjoy the restaurant management. Simple (at least at the start) but good.

NO MAN LEFT BEHIND!

The PSN debacle had me change my review to negative originally, notwithstanding the absolute brilliance the game has to offer and the fantastic work from the devs.

Why?

I really considered not giving into the hate. How bad could it be to get the PSN account link and just... PLAY? With my friends? Having fun?

But there are at least a few people who will not be able to play this game again. Just because a corporation decided to mess with what I considered is one of the best games and game development teams I've ever seen.

I decided that that was unjust and unironically undemocratic. I wasn't the only one who thought that.

And then the impossible happened. The entire community grouped up, just like do in-game, and got Sony to change their minds. Incredible.

If Sony keeps to their word, I'm going to get a couple of warbonds.

Just seriously, play the game. It's a treat, and its great with friends.

Visually stunning, engaging, fun, action-packed.

You do the same thing for hours, but it never feels repetitive.

Glorious masterpiece of a game.

Great potential. But so tedious.

I miss the first game.

Super stoked to play an dnd rpg. Hop onto game fully intending to go through every door, talk to every npc and do every sidequest.

Immediately as I started my first run, I saw some kind of weird fluid-filled sac hanging from the ceiling. There must be treasure in there! So I ran under it and shot it with an arrow. Got splashed with weird acid thing. Ended up with half my health. Tried slow-walking out of it, taking 1d4 damage every tick. Died.

First run total time played (beyond the hour making my character): about 40 seconds.

Play stupid games - win stupid prizes. 10/10 authentic dungeons & dragons experience.


Jokes aside, fantastic game, worth the money. Feels more like an engaging tactical turn-based strategy game with great story and game-feel. Reminds me of old favourites like Dragon Age: Origins and Divinity 2. Take your time and enjoy this masterpiece.

Nothing prepared me for how good Cyberpunk and its DLC was going to be. Honestly game's alright, pretty solid now with all the patches. But Phantom Liberty added a whole new ending that was tragic and unforgettable.

My only advice is to forget what other people say about this, even me. Don't get influenced by anyone, just see for yourself. Don't rush, take your time, soak in Night City, because when you're in, you'll never leave.
