Absolutely amazing.

Ender Lilies is a souls-like metroidvania, where you play as a child capable of using spirits to defeat foes. This alone is a fun concept, and is executed astonishingly well. The difficuly is not too great but can still provide a decent challange.

The gameplay can be compared to Hollow Knight and Salt & Sanctuary, but the uniqueness of this game comes with the fact that every time you defeat a boss, you gain their power as a spirit and can use it from now on. You can equip up to six spirits at a time (in two sets, each containing three spirits), which allows to create fun combos to match your play style. Want to whack an enemy with big hammer? Will do! Wanna parry enemies? No problemo! Ranged combat? Release the fat rat! I'm absolutely in love with the Siegrid and Silva combo - begin the onslaught with a flail area control attack and follow up with a powerful warhammer strike.

Level design is on the spot, and graphics are really pretty. The problem is when it comes to sound design. While both the soundtrack and ambient sounds are beautiful, throughout the entire game I felt a distinct lack of appropriate sound effects during combat, and whenever they did appear, they felt extremely out of place. Whenever I fought a humanoid enemy, the only sounds I heard were weapon swings, misses, and hits. The only sound was that of a weapon, but what about its wielder? Even something so small as bosses getting audibly out of breath upon being stunned whould be gamechanger.

Yet overall, Ender Lilies is a great experience for everyone, with both great story and gameplay. Would recommend!

Overall, a great experience. The story is interesting, the visual desing is nice and unique, the combat system is fun. It's an awesome game and I can wholeheartedly recommend it.

Unfortunately, it definitely has some room for improvements. When I say this I mainly think about the ending - which felt unsatisfying and a bit hollow - and some minor visual/gameplay bugs.

And for the last, the worst of all. The voice acting is absolutely astonishing, Even's voice actress did an amazing job, yet through 90% of her dialogues, Even is just silent. It feels weird that in one scene she speaks freely and in the other ten she's just standing there, while others are talking to her. Why rob the players of this amazing voice acting? :c
