Helldiver Taran reporting for duty,

With the advent of automaton control (Sony); I have recieved direct orders pertaining: To mark this game as dissident propaganda until it is rightfully returned to allied control. Failure to retake this will result in full abandonment and permanent destruction of said objective until the automatons have been thoroughly destroyed.

Let us not fail, gentlemen.

That will be all. Taran out.

UPDATE:

With the advent of the automaton front line falling, it is up to us to remain vigilant and rescue our fellow helldivers that have been left behind in enemy territory. Some regions may still yet remain locked behind automaton control. However, the objective is back under the friendly shores of democracy.

Good work helldivers.

honestly probably one of the best launches of the cod games, campaign was decent and replayable along with being achieved in a variety of different play styles. you never have to follow what the game tells you to do and can instead just blast your way to victory if youre good enough. warzone is solid, but dmz is where it really goes well; unique weapon blueprints, bosses, relatively difficult ai, plenty to do, all make for a super nice experience. i probably would buy the game again just for the mutiplayer, but dmz alone is completely worth the free download.

Early Access Review
after getting 100% steam achievements i can without a doubt tell ill be playing this game a lot, its exactly what i wanted out of r6 siege in an unbelievably complex tactical shooter. the guns feel great, the solo tactical play is phenomenal, and ive seen the multiplayer is just as good, its incredibly challenging and realistic. if you get shot, you die (imagine that). the npcs are almost humanlike in playing and will absolutely kill you for not paying attention. the only issue i might have is the dark areas are a little too dark, obv you can counter it with a flashlight, glow sticks, or nvgs but it seems a bit hard to see even in lit areas. not that its necessarily a bad thing, but it will effect how you play if you have a bright room. its clearly a lot less polished and established than siege, but absolutely has more potential to be the name for tactical realism shooters of the genre

Welp, honestly it was better before 1.5, the new systems are incredibly useless as they basically removed any sort of CRIT build, they gave what are essentially useless rewards for the completion of the side quests, and broke literally all the fun aspects of what was cyberpunk by killing all the ways you could do wild builds. In essence, they did the exact opposite of Warframe in that you are excruciatingly restricted now to their generic builds. Armor was nerfed through the ground, and cars no longer have the cyberpunk feel as they updated them to feel real in world instead of the futuristic vehicles almost too powerful for the road, they now stick to it like glue to the point the turning is impossible unless you are driving at 5mph. New perks mean your points were all reset and the perks were changed without the actual build points being reset to compensate for the fact most (if not all) meta builds were no longer viable. The upgrade menu is still just as useless as it used to be as you're still level locked even after level 50, so gear will always be finite maxable instead of allowing you to continue building it up like you would as you were levelling. There was no new game plus added that might maybe even counter that and no real reason to replay the game now that individualized playstyle has been nerfed to the point where every play style is the same. I found a grand total of 2 quests in the same mini questline and nothing else on my lv 50 character. the new vehicles are mediocre at best considering they gave the caliburn for free way earlier than I even finished all my side quests, and the new weapons are curiously unavailable on my game. The apartments are not actually customizable as I've found no access point that actually has the site required to do so. Unless they've accidentally locked the rest of the update, this has a few bug fixes and basically nothing cool.

UPDATE: i typed out a massive update an steam didnt save it, but new weapons are mediocre. the weapon rewards you get from finishing the side quest lines max out below weapons you get at the start of the game and the new muzzles are all but useless as theyre completely focused on the power weapons which have always been the least interesting and fun to play. at best you can get a 11% and 16% damage bonus on the rifles and pistols respectively at best case scenario with them and all others cut crit in half which brings my previously 100% crit build even further down in the dirt to an excruciating 8% max crit with all mods and perks or a 16% without the muzzle. mind this is also sacrificing the base damage and not really worth to use the newly nerfed mods so basically theres no reason to bother trying to focus your perks because it doesnt matter anymore. youre options have been limited to cold blood with stealth, rifles and pistols, and shotguns lmgs and melee. even the perk points for quickhacking dont matter anymore as you can substantiate quickhacks with the iconic decks and cyberware. the whole freedom of this game has been totally and completely borked

update to update: finishing out my playthrough i have come across yet another issue, items that forcibly require you to use the upgrade system to rank up in quality are COMPLETELY unusable now for players who have an old lv 50 save because you cannot actually (as stated) level past 50, therefore the iconic items are absolutely useless. it seems that cdpr is actually intending for this game to fail, not only have they removed cash exploits on a single player game (that i expect to never see multiplayer considering that they still have major and massive game breaking issues with the base game). not only that, but instead of focusing on the bug they actively run to fix the ways players use to explore the world and max their gameplay (sword dashing, cash exploits, accessing areas). they have actively removed every way to explore and dominate the world and have given no bug repair worth justifying the time spent on their "gameplay balancing". For this reason i am uninstalling till they release the next update that might hopefully do better. i desperately want this game to succeed but at every point it fails me in a new and spectacular way. i think the only good thing i found was the new jue optic. which considering there was a grand whopping total of 2 base game sniper optics, its not really an achievement so much as a baseline of bare minimum. especially considering the overwatch is now and officially the most powerful weapon in the game with a new max damage on a crit headshot from stealth of 140k damage. considering it used to do high 6 and even 7 figure damage along with the comrades hammer coming in close second, this is absolute garbage when a stealth headshot wthout a crit will still only run about 24k damage. new looting is even more broken than it was with the gryphon and wyvern drones being unlootable now and making your shiny mod perk for looting robots practically useless. the sound broke completely on my last few hours playing, to the point where i had to reload the game and my save to get it to work again. phone calls and texts are now sporadic and if you miss the little message you get, youll never know you got anything and miss out on the dialogue. some quests appear at complete random so i was just walking around trying to figure out what to do until FINALLY a quest will apear. garry is broke on my save, so he is infinitely sleeping istead of preaching the good word, and prominent clubs and areas are still completely unsubstantiated and locked behind doors and walls. many areas have no way to access them and seemingly no plans to ever BE accessed as people have been noclipping through walls to see if theres anything maybe interesting and it ends up completely empty. cyberpunk was too ambitious, in a way they could not handle the scope and size of night city. there is nothing interactive after the main game and no post game or post game quests, no good ending we can continue the game with, and not even an explanation to what the 6th glitchy relic chip slot might be for or why theres a max 70% affiliation with johnny, or even what the out of time box even means. so much of the game is still completely unfinished im not ever sure it will be as long term players end up seeing the same things i do. at best its now a single playthrough game as your initial character orgin selection doesnt even have an effect on your game. no quests effect the ending unless youre going for the secret ending, and nothing you do matters as v will always die. your choices have no effect save not going on the date with johnny/rogue. everything else is a straight linear game masquerading as a open free roam rpg.

closing thoughts: This game is a mess, and in far worse a way than it used to be. i feel sorry for the players that wont get to experience pre and post 1.3 as i'm certain cyberpunk will never be a genuinely fun and enjoyable game again. theres a scene in one of the aldecaldo side missions where you can use your body skill to pass a skill check "do you see my implants? i could rip you to shreds before you could pull the trigger" and thats what made cyberpunk so much fun, minmaxing and building your character in a meaningful way made you unstoppable, legendary, if you will. and now its gone...

Tldr; They nerfed every little piece of the game that made it fun and replayable and didn't even add anything large enough to make up for it. update: its so much worse than i initially thought...
