Here we go.

I have been playing this game for 6200+ hours since July 2020. This is the first FPS I've taken time to invest in. I've spent many a time and hour yelling, being angry and frustrated at this game but still love it and come back to it every day. My love/hate and desire for the success of this pretty frickin awesome game is really high.

I still would suggest this game to anyone, no matter how mad I get or frustrated at some BS or my lack of "git gud" skill level, it's a great game. Outside of some of the higher tier player base, pretty much most the people that play this game are hilarious or fun. You can make friends all the time. There's plenty of light-hearted gamers.

About the new Hunt: Showdown 1896: GAWDDAMN. Beautiful.

- Night and Day time has better lighting that you can see Hunters that were set to blend into the environment. i'm not blinded by the moon or the sunlight just looking at the south to southwest of the map.

- The new boss is heckin scary but also pretty fun to fight. Can be pretty quick with the right tools which makes him more approachable than the previous roaming boss where fighting her took a little long to do.

- There's new map assets that are cool to notice, the compounds have SO MUCH DEPTH! There's so many floors and rotations players can make. I know they intend to just spruce up the old ones a little bit. I'll be honest though, it would be so sexy if they gave the depth of this new map to the old ones too. The mine shafts connecting the center compounds is just top tier. If you go to the edge of the North East of the map there's a whole town they built over there.
*To those having graphics struggles, I'm sorry for your experience but if you get it figured out this game is UMPH MUAH! Chef's kiss baby!

- The gunplay and the bullet drop is awesome. Like it MEANS something if someone gets sniped from 200m away now. Then you're like "DAMN! That was crazy!" but in a you're proud of that other guy way. I still think Spitzer is a problem in Hunt but most of the fights have been super active fun in the lobbies I have been in. Each compound has so many entrance and exits you can't just hunker down and feel like there's a reason for stalemates so much either with shotguns or long range hostage games where the people inside feel like they can't move. It feels active.

- I will be honest I think the UI has something to be desired. They have, at this point, already addressed they are going to work on fixing it. The point of this UI was to also being controller friendly but then became very not mouse and keyboard friendly. I think most of the UI is fine but the Equipment UI is probably the longest screen that anyone spends any time in so the most complaints will happen here. I personally think that there are incidental bugs happening here. There were Quality of Life instances that were in the previous removed that I think were not intended. I have ideas of design that I think would benefit console and PC gamers but I am not a game dev and don't work for Crytek.

It's worth it. Ignore the butthurt negative reviews. You can come to my stream, I've up and downed Hunt: Showdown. I've screamed in frustration. But I can at least see hard work the Hunt: Showdown Dev team put into this and collaborated on and are willing to fix any issues for a positive game experience.

I really wanted to play this game with my friend. Looked everywhere online. Made sure we were connected through Steam, connected through Epic. Can not connect to server. This is a co-op game. Do not buy from Steam, it will not work. We made sure our steam and epic accounts were running. I'm sad because I really wanted to play this game. But how are you going to have a game that's co-op and not have it playable.
