Here we go.

I have been playing this game for 6200+ hours since July 2020. This is the first FPS I've taken time to invest in. I've spent many a time and hour yelling, being angry and frustrated at this game but still love it and come back to it every day. My love/hate and desire for the success of this pretty frickin awesome game is really high.

I still would suggest this game to anyone, no matter how mad I get or frustrated at some BS or my lack of "git gud" skill level, it's a great game. Outside of some of the higher tier player base, pretty much most the people that play this game are hilarious or fun. You can make friends all the time. There's plenty of light-hearted gamers.

About the new Hunt: Showdown 1896: GAWDDAMN. Beautiful.

- Night and Day time has better lighting that you can see Hunters that were set to blend into the environment. i'm not blinded by the moon or the sunlight just looking at the south to southwest of the map.

- The new boss is heckin scary but also pretty fun to fight. Can be pretty quick with the right tools which makes him more approachable than the previous roaming boss where fighting her took a little long to do.

- There's new map assets that are cool to notice, the compounds have SO MUCH DEPTH! There's so many floors and rotations players can make. I know they intend to just spruce up the old ones a little bit. I'll be honest though, it would be so sexy if they gave the depth of this new map to the old ones too. The mine shafts connecting the center compounds is just top tier. If you go to the edge of the North East of the map there's a whole town they built over there.
*To those having graphics struggles, I'm sorry for your experience but if you get it figured out this game is UMPH MUAH! Chef's kiss baby!

- The gunplay and the bullet drop is awesome. Like it MEANS something if someone gets sniped from 200m away now. Then you're like "DAMN! That was crazy!" but in a you're proud of that other guy way. I still think Spitzer is a problem in Hunt but most of the fights have been super active fun in the lobbies I have been in. Each compound has so many entrance and exits you can't just hunker down and feel like there's a reason for stalemates so much either with shotguns or long range hostage games where the people inside feel like they can't move. It feels active.

- I will be honest I think the UI has something to be desired. They have, at this point, already addressed they are going to work on fixing it. The point of this UI was to also being controller friendly but then became very not mouse and keyboard friendly. I think most of the UI is fine but the Equipment UI is probably the longest screen that anyone spends any time in so the most complaints will happen here. I personally think that there are incidental bugs happening here. There were Quality of Life instances that were in the previous removed that I think were not intended. I have ideas of design that I think would benefit console and PC gamers but I am not a game dev and don't work for Crytek.

It's worth it. Ignore the butthurt negative reviews. You can come to my stream, I've up and downed Hunt: Showdown. I've screamed in frustration. But I can at least see hard work the Hunt: Showdown Dev team put into this and collaborated on and are willing to fix any issues for a positive game experience.

[DD] Deadlistzed ↓↓ Growing up and being constructive is hard, I know. Glad you could add your NPC existence to the conversation.

TziTzi, it's not enough to review bomb and be a bunch of bottoms. Get over yourself and go touch grass, breathe fresh air. Like I complain but jesus christ, I at least acknowledge that they put a lot of effort in and said they're going to fix it. They didn't charge you 200 extra dollars, you got to keep the base game for free and got basically a whole knew experience we KNEW was going to be buggy. Like literally every game that comes out to date that isn't triple A and hell even those games. "Give them a pass" stop it. Just stop. You didn't have to spend more money for a whole new experience like most games would have done to you. Go sit in a corner and count to 50.

I'm with the complaints though. It was entirely unnecessary to change the UI at all, let alone to do it backwards to a less useful direction. This was a conscious choice they made to make it confusing and awkward to use. We shouldn't give them a pass because "they know the UI is shit"

THEY MADE IT INTENTIONALLY. It wasn't an accident that they have to make up for. Someone saw this shit being designed and signed off on it and now we're stuck with it for a while instead of just porting over the exact working but slightly inefficient design from before.

It's not that the UI sucks that pisses me off, it's that they've changed the UI with every single patch and every single time it gets more broken and more useless. Why should I believe they're going to fix it when they've said this before about the UI and only ever make it worse? Maybe hand the UI off to a team that isn't German so it makes sense to normal people lol.

IDK what he is talking about with AMD cards not working, mine runs just fine. 130FPS native 1440p on very high and 160+FPS with FSR. 6800XT

These babies love to complain about changes that don't affect the gameplay whatsoever. I love the negative reviews because of the UI, it's absolute asinine.

I would say as of right now, UI time spent is 60-70% of the time, getting used to it. They've got some nice keybinds set up for K&M as well, it's just different from what we're used to. The most annoying part is to click back n forth instead of having the list ready and prepared for it. Definitely see how it would be easier for controllers, but not user friendly for computer people like what we used to have.

That being said, I think the new changes are for the most part good, outside having to get used to some others. Don't agree to necro being a one time use and burns increased / chokes reduced would help stalemates (just send me back to lobby when I die already), but overall a nice update!

They already said they were gonna fix it. Just stop being a baby. Like you all are in kindergarten so you throw a whole ass tantrum instead of acknowledging they already know. UI is a smaller spec in the bulk of where you even spend your time.

the negative reviews are correct but nice try gaming savant

amd cards dont work ui is horrid nothings changing that so half the pc playerbase cannot literally play the game

and the other halfs first impression is that ui

gg fucking great free weekend

i cant recommend this game to anyone rn im gonna keep playing because i bought it long ago when it was still a unique soul filled game with story and details

gun names are now cut down and dumbed down aswell there is no lore no trials you can no longer get some achievements ingame because of features they removed

the bad reviews are gonna keep coming until they start backpeddling on this stupidity

new map and boss are great but the game literally will not function for some people

there is a test server for a reason they did this shit deliberately to push the release of 2.0. they set themselves a deadline and it wasnt ready when that came around.
