36 Hours later and one more achievement to go, I can confidently say this is one of the best story telling games I've played in a long time. This game deserves a lot of recognition for the creative and unique ideas it presents.

Really fun game with pals, nothing more enjoyable than harassing one another. I would avoid playing solo. Some cards are just "I win" such as vampire bullets or tin man and can be frustrating to play against. Soundtrack is amazing, Art is amazing and the VA's were solid. 7/10 game for sure.

Overtweaked as ♥♥♥♥, outperforms every other character in every aspect.

New season? New Hero? Same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that they refuse to fix? Avoid this game.

Woke Up In a Tavern With Friends

We sail to the open sea on a Galleon.

We raid a Fortress manned by Ghosts.

Decide to raise an Emissary Flag.

Raid a vault and hit Emissary 5.

Find a random rowboat.

Take rowboat with us as we sell our ♥♥♥♥ at nearest outpost.

Bored, sail rowboat across the ocean.

Chase a sloop while playing "Infernal Galllop"

MFW my friends and I attach a Rowboat with a harpoon to a Sloop and torture the Crew with music.

This game is AMAZING with friends, mainly because everything becomes easier to do and you have more chances for fun shenanigans. Used to hate this game because of the solo experience, but if you got a buddy whose patient and has a lot of free time this is your game.

Loving this so much. Helps me relax while working and keep a list of things I need to do. Wish there was a larger music variety but I do love whats already there.

Stay away from this game if youre a solo player. This game rewards toxic gameplay and encourages it. Most of this is avoidable if youre playing with friends that you can coordinate well with but it forces you to try your best every match which can become very frustrating after the 10th time. Just dont.


Edit: My friends begged me to come back to the game promising me that the game was better. It was not. Credit where credit is due the latest edition to the team The Unknown DLC Killer is fairly fun and balanced.

I can't find the words to describe this game. My first time opening a world felt a lot like my first time playing minecraft, I was confused on what to do but of course the first instruction was to punch a tree, get wood and stone and make yourself a shelter. Building my shelter was both frustrating and rewarding as getting different parts to click together was difficult but the pay off was worth it. Valheim being one of my first survival games surprised me, I went in expecting a challenging and constant grind but was instead greeted by a welcoming and nostalgic experience that reminded me of some famous titles such as Minecraft and Terrraria. This isnt to say that this game attempts to rip off or mimic any aspect of these popular titles but rather introduces a unique perspective on elements that these titles share. As far as the appearance of the game goes DO NOT shy away because of it, i've often found myself in amazement and awe of some of the scenery in this game.
There is so much content to this game I could rant about it for hours but instead of hearing about it from me buy the game and experience it yourself.


TL;DR: This game is such a pleasant surprise and has so much content that in the 40hrs of gameplay ive barely scratched the surface.

So i played this game for about 2 years on browser. I ended up taking a break and found out it was on steam. I wanted to relive some old memories. After maybe 20hrs on the game I bought the Coven DLC and was very disappointed that nobody played it. 15hrs later I've realized a few things about this game. It's no longer what it used to be. Roles have become stale, Mafia ends up with a massive disadvantage due to people leaving the game since "mafia will lose anyway" and the game advertises itself with banners when you log in with "new deals' for microtransactions. I got the achievement "The Perfect Town" today because every Evil Role LEFT THE GAME during the first 3 minutes which is slowly becoming the norm. Devs have started to address this problem but at the rate it's going changes to the game are either very delayed or make it a to do list. I'll always come back to this but not out of a love for this game but rather because "I spent money on this, I may as well play it".

Risk of Rain 2 completely shocked me when I first played it. I was amazed with how well the game preformed and how interesting it was for a game in Beta. My only complaint for the Beta was that there wasn't a complete story nor an official end to the game, you just went through stage after stage without any real reason to. But now that the release is here I have mixed emotions about it. I'm disappointed that there wasn't more Logs for characters and monsters (etc.) added to the game but I am very pleased with the new intro actually explaining why you are even on the planet if it was heavily implied. I was even more pleased that the ending of the game wasn't just a button prompt asking you to die. All in all Risk of Rain 2 is money well spent and I never regret buying it even if I drop it for a month or so.

TL DR; Always come back to playing his game for it's amazing sound design, music, gameplay and Lore/Story.
