VIDEO HORROR SOCIETY IS NOT A DEAD BY DAYLIGHT CLONE, YES THEY ARE BOTH 4V1 ASYMMETRICAL GAMES BUT THAT IS WHERE THE SIMILARITIES STOP, VIDEO HORROR SOCIETY PLAYS OUT IN A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT WAY. VHS IS INHERENTLY A HARD GAME AND THAT IS OK, TAKE THE TIME TO LEARN THE INS AND OUTS BEFORE LEAVING A NEGATIVE REVIEW AT 0.2 HOURS PLAYED.

Video Horror Society is a very well made game, it's gameplay as a whole is very unique and I like the feel of there not being a 100% definitive power role, the game can feel like a very intense tug of war match at times and isn't an "all hope is lost" type thing even when the situation can look grim. I played 400+ hours during the beta because it was that enjoyable, each weapon type and mutations/mods allowing you to use whatever you feel most comfortable with/whatever suits your playstyle is a really nice feeling. The one dislike I have for the game is being forced to play a character just for the sole purpose of their perks, with teens this isn't an issue as they all play out the same, however with monsters, this can feel a bit more annoying as I do not enjoy playing werewolf at all but I must play her to get the necessary perks to make my dream build. This game is very difficult to learn how to play at an advanced level, and that's what I like about it, other people don't, I do not think it needs to be lowered to try and suit newer players because I feel like part of the appeal is to attract players who want to have a challenging experiencing learning and overcoming difficulties they face. Overall, Video Horror Society is definitely worth giving a shot if you want a nice free game to get stuck into and I am very interested to see where this game will go in the future.

Edit: The game is sunsetting now, and I still had a lot of fun while playing it, don't regret any of my time spent because most of it has been fun and resulted in meeting good people along the way!
