the voices

the voices, they always return, I feel myself slip away into a never ending nightmare. I dare to ask myself "is this what my life has become?" days become months, or so I think, in this nightmare of a place I am unsure of even my own name, things have become so distorted the very essence of my consciousness has deceived me, I am lost in this place. I just want to go back home.

get out of my house, I feel unsafe, where did they go, I see their faces, their souls, their hearts, they do not belong though neither do I, this soul has become one of them, a lost one of fear and deceit, the former world has no bearing on this one, and neither do I, so I do then ask again, where is everyone, the laughter and pain and joy, that is what is important, though my home this is not
