When I first booted up Nothing, I honestly didn’t know what to expect. But what I found was truly… well, nothing short of amazing. From the opening menu, I was greeted with a clean, minimalist interface that immediately set the tone for what would become the most groundbreaking gaming experience of my life. No clutter. No distractions. Just pure, unadulterated nothing. The loading screen? Nonexistent. The tutorial? Blank. I’ve played a lot of games in my day, but none have matched the unparalleled visual beauty of Nothing. The game's graphics are so crisp, so sharp, and yet so beautifully clear. There’s an undeniable artistry in the way the world of the game is shaped, truly a sight to behold.

I have never encountered a story quite like the one in Nothing. It starts with—well, absolutely nothing. The plot unfolds in such an intriguing way, offering no characters, no conflict, no resolution—yet somehow, it speaks volumes. As you progress, you come to realise that the very absence of a narrative is the narrative itself. It’s a story of emptiness, of silence, of nothingness. And in that nothing, it reveals everything about the human experience.

Now, let’s talk about gameplay. It’s safe to say that Nothing revolutionises the entire gaming industry. There’s no combat, no objectives, no goals—except for the one thing the game asks of you: to do nothing. Every action (or lack thereof) becomes a reflection of the player’s own state of mind. What Nothing does so well is create tension with its absolute lack of activity. The game constantly tempts you to “do something,” but it makes it clear that true success lies in the act of doing nothing. It’s meditative, it’s cathartic, and it’s profoundly impactful. It’s a game that asks you to reflect on your relationship with action and consequence. And for those who are brave enough to embrace it, Nothing offers an experience that transcends traditional gaming. Nothing is, without a doubt, the greatest game ever made. It dares to challenge everything we know about interactive entertainment, and it succeeds in ways I never thought possible. It redefines what a game can be, or rather, what a game need not be. In a world where more is constantly demanded—more content, more action, more excitement—Nothing offers the opposite: an experience so pure, so uncompromising in its simplicity, that it leaves you changed.

Nothing really compares to nothing and nothing ever will, truly a magnum opus of the gaming industry as a whole and I will never stop playing nothing. Thank you for reading and remember, the real nothing was the friends we made along the way. Also apologies for the length of the review, there is nothing that can quite capture the essence of nothing, and I was too busy with nothing to write a longer review. And now that I think about it, maybe nothing says more than something.

10/10. Would do nothing again.
