As a true slav, you must use only russian made weapons. The AK12, the RPG, Vlad 1000 nailgun.
But if you really want to be the most known shashlik maker in the whole game and the eastern bloc, then you need to pick firebug and cook those zeds with your Flamethrower and whatever side arm you prefer.

If you are playing as a commando, try to get the best assault rifle ever, russian made, reliable, cheap like russian wh-; Okay, okay. Here is why: Besides offering the most cheeki breeki experience, it is a direct upgrade to the bullbup, it deals more damage and has a faster rate of fire while burst firing, oppa, even more than the Scar.
At higher levels you'll love this weapon, it is capable of taking down medium zeds and can be useful for decapping scrakes and doesn't suffer from the overkill fallacy as the Scar, as a headshot from an AK and scar will kill trash anyway. Since there aren't any other russian commando weapons, we will focus on the true slavic boom bringer. The RPG 7!

It is a decent offperk for your loadout if you are unsure if your team can handle fleshpounds, it's powerful enough to help get rid off of those big, angry growling gopniks.

If you are going demo you will deal more damage to the fleshpounds and using the AK as a side arm will offer enough defense if the team can't do pizdec. The reason you are taking the AK and not the M203 is because of the reasons above, and the M203 is really dealing the same damage as an AR15 Varmint bullet wise.

Here we are, we are done, just play firebug and make the best shashlik and bring everything down but don't be an incompetent and rage the big zeds with your weapons until your team is ready. Otherwise you won't be able to go home and celebrate the victory with your babushka while drinking a nice barrel glass of vodka.

The vlad is not a popular weapon in the zerk arsenal mostly because it's only long ranged. But that can help if you are being a tank and using the vampire skill. Just shoot a few nails in a crowd and oop, you are healed. It's best to pick up a pulverizer to throw those fleshpounds back into chernobyl as they are weak to explosions.
Remember, not the most popular arsenal but you'll look cool while using it and it can be effective in the right hands.
