OVERVIEW

Sonic is a very fast character who's gameplan revolves around constantly moving and dealing quick blows to his opponents. His unmatched movement speed and quick specials allow him to easily traverse the battlefield in the blink of an eye and reach his opponent. His combo game is a big strength, with tools like Homing Attack to aid in furthering his combo potential.

Sonic, however, has weaknesses. He has kinda stubby normals and lacks a true projectile. On top of all this, he's a lightweight.

SPECIAL ATTACKS

NEUTRAL SPECIAL: HOMING ATTACK

Rise into the air and home into any nearby opponent. Useful as a combo tool and a way of dealing a surprise blow. Miss, and you'll bounce off the ground. Can act as a semi-useful recovery tool offstage.

FORWARD SPECIAL: LIGHT SPEED DASH

UP SPECIAL: SPRING

Pull out and bounce off of a spring. Acts as a projectile and can damage opponents. Can be a useful tool to extend that one combo that could kill off the top. Using the move puts all your specials into cooldown, so be careful!

DOWN SPECIAL: SPIN DASH

Charge up speed and roll through enemies with Sonic’s signature move! The longer you charge, the longer you'll roll. Flick the control stick in the other direction while rolling to turn around and roll in the opposite direction. Press Attack while rolling on the ground to instantly Dash Attack. Rolling is parry cancelable, regardless if you’re in the air or not.
