A map based in north-west Atlantic next to the US coast. Inspired by reallife locations.



Join the Official Vela Discord[discord.gg] to share your own experience, videos, post-cards(screenshots) suggest new content or report issues you may find while improving the experience.



This map is a 'WIP' Work in progress and is now in the BETA 0.5 state.

Is this map pretty much complete or close. And are there zombies and loot spawning in. I am looking for a good island map to fit the title of the server I am creating. The one I was going to use is now gone.

Seems the Navmesh may need fixed. Zombies will not enter buildings to chase you. Pathing seems messed up. Would love to see this addressed

I have played all the big maps for DayZ, early and recent. I think at this point in production it has the makings to go Gold. Very well done, I personally appreciate the attention to the smallest detail. It takes alot of work. Keep up the good.... no, the great work! Ive used your items in modsets(?) And I can just say, I look forward to the complete work of Vela. BRAVO!...

I don't like to rate anything before it's finished, but I gave this a thumbs up. I will say with only a short time on the map so far, I like what I see and I hope development continues.

Since the devs don't seem to want to put out any new official maps, I've only recently decided to try a modded map or two on my private test server for a change of scenery and for learning purposes. It's nice to have smaller choices.
