@swmackin You also have a notion of geographical resource in PR3, colonial goods like coffee, tobacco, cocoa and dye =)
#1. Yes, exactly as it says.
1000 people consume 82.5 wheat, 66 bananas, 33 corn, etc... per 30 days.
You can even adjust the numbers above to find out how much, for example 11700 residents consume in 23 days.
The base information is provided by the game itself that shows you the cities 10-day-consumption. These values can easily be scaled up or down with a calculator.
#3. The calculator shows the consumption of every good below
Many years ago I played a lot of Port Royale 2 and started Playing PR3 this week. In PR2 it was easier to keep track of where specific goods are produced because certain goods were produced only in Governor towns while others are only produced in colonial towns. Also, I have played the Patrician games a lot (which are very similar to PR) and production of most goods is based on geography: for example, fish in the north, fur in the east, wine in the southwest.
I like that in PR3 most goods can be produced anywhere, it is more realistic. I have though spent a lot of time looking for specific goods. This map will save me a lot of time
1. What formula did you use for the calculator? 1000 population for 30 days , it means they consume 33 wood every 30 days including other goods or they are prices.
2. Does all buildings have the same maintenance cost and labors and labor cost including houses, hospitals or buildings that has not productions and consumptions
3. If I have 1000 population in a town, how much are they consuming anything? If so how much and which goods?
4. What is formula to increase and decrease the cost of goods based on amount available and other things? Is there one similar to finding how much to increase and to decrease the prices
