Isn't that standard affair with casual games? I thought so, not utilised often but the framework of such puzzle construct is well-known.

Timed Puzzles can be great if done right, like everything honestly.
Also what do you mean about the "standard piston stairs"?

Not bad, I am not sure it is a great idea to do timed puzzle, but if it is playable in one go I have no complaints, but the standard piston stairs is solid..
