I bought the game a few years prior when it was on sale and played the campaign, but after that I had uninstalled BF3 for a little while, and then I decided to play mulitplayer since I didn't really get into it when I originally first bought the game.

The issue was, whenever I launched Battlefield 3 from Steam, Battlelog opens up fine, but whenever I tried joining an actual server, it would tell me that my account did not have the game and asked me for a product key even though I had bought the game from steam and played the campaign a few times.

Luckily after a couple days of browsing through the EA forums and searching the web, I found this fix that luckily worked for me. You just have to do some digging and searching for this specific file under the EA services and license folders titled 70619.dlf, and you can just remove it from your files and it should allow your game to function normally without requiring a "supposed" product key.

If you'd like to see the whole forum, then down below is the link as to how I got my game working again!

Thank you saved me a few hours. Works like a charm and you can just delete the file.
