@Hell - Venus was visible just after sunset to the west in late June, is that when you saw it?
@Fro - yep, full zoom (1200mm equivalent). The image stabilisation is really good (around 3 stops I think), but I didn't need to be that steady because I took it at 1/500th sec at f/6.5 at ISO 400. It's basically a bright summer's day exposure because it is a bright sunny day on the moon.
