There's no ingame map of the Underlands, and maybe this guide will make your journey through its 50 shades of red at least a bit less annoying than mine was. It gives directions for all missable unique collectibles that can be found down there.

Yes. When you enter the Underlands for the first time the Duchess will set up a tent with a two-way mirror portal inside which leads back to the Blinding Light.



Filtration Mask location can be found further in the guide. Alternatively, you can play through the entire level with the curse, and then simply take a nap when you return to the Skyrealms - that also removes it.


"Speaker should pay special attention to the environment around humanoid fungi. All may not be as it seems." - trios of fungi with human faces mark the presence of illusory walls. Drink a Truth Potion to reveal a hidden passage or just facetank nearby walls, either works.

[1] Right at the start of the level and before the first tunnel take a path leading up, then turn right and cross a small metal bridge. Past the bridge you will find a locked house guarded by a crimson ghost.


[2] Break the door (10 STR) or pick the lock. Tatty Attire is in the chest on the second floor.

[1] Walk past the first tunnel, do not enter it. You will see a giant bridge, on its other side is another tunnel (and Orlaith in front of it).


[2] Inside the tunnel you will see one of humanoid fungi, there's an illusory wall to its left.


[3] On a cliff past the illusory wall you will find a small building, the spell is in the chest on the second floor.

[1] Enter the first tunnel.


[2] After you pass through the tunnel, pass by the bridge (not under it), then turn right. You will see another tunnel. Past it is a house with an AI next to it.


[3] If you pass a 40 Charm check in a conversation with the AI, it will explain that humanoid fungi mark the presence of illusory walls. Inside the house you will find one of those fungi, the passage is on its left.


[4] Your reward lies on the second floor. To protect yourself from the curse you have to have the mask constantly equipped. Unfortunately, it cannot be upgraded.


◌ Or you can beat the entire level with the curse and sleep after returning to the Skyrealms, sleeping removes the curse as well.

[1] Enter the first tunnel. After you pass through the tunnel, pass by the bridge (not under it), then turn left and cross the bridge. You will see a house with a golden lock on it.


[2] To enter either pick the lock, or activate two lore devices connected to the house via pipes.


[3] You will find Eldritch Focus in the chest on the second floor.

[1] Take the elevator behind the theater and descend into the slums. Walk under the giant yellow arc.

◌ The locked door behind the arc is a shortcut which can be entered at the base of the elevator - there's an illusory wall framed by two mushrooms right next to it. There's nothing else inside.

[2] Enter the round yellow gate - either pick the lock, or activate two lore devices nearby.


[3] Descend from the bridge, you will find another round yellow gate behind a corner.


[4] Same as before - pick the lock or activate two lore devices.


[5] Speed Shoes are in the chest past the gate.

[1] Pass under the second yellow arc in the slums. Ignore the round gate on your right, instead walk a bit further and turn left.


[2] You will find a passage which leads to an elevator (shortcut to the Duchess' second tent), and in front of it a chest with the Emberian Vault Key.



★ What does Emberian Vault Key unlock?
The key unlocks three hidden Emberian Vaults in the Skyrealms.

[1] The first Emberian Vault is located behind the elevator that connects Pwyll to Hallowshire.


Inside you will find a key item called Quickstep Socks (Agility +10).



[2] The second Emberian Vault is located in the Endless Realm, behind a waterfall marked with a pile of steel beams at its base.


Inside you will find a key item called Canine of Commerce (Barter +10).



[3] The third Emberian Vault is located in the Clockwork Kingdom, in a mountain cave accessed via the bridge next to Horace's house (Dreamer's Reprieve).


Inside you will find a key item called Arcane Accumulator (Spellcast +10).

You might've found a locked mirror portal at the base of the second to last elevator (between the one that leads to the Duchess' second tent, and the one that brings you to the last autocoach), and you might've also noticed a platform containing another mirror and a chest in the middle of the same elevator's shaft.
Quite obviously, the mirror on the platform connects to (and therefore unlocks) the one below it.


Paeguth alone knows what's the intended way of getting to that platform, i did that by casting Agility's Addendum and spamming sprint jump towards one of the corners of the elevator on its way down until i managed to bypass the invisible wall and land on the platform. If you want to try it yourself make sure to equip Ring of Featherfoot to save yourself from an embarrassing death should you miss the platform.

And what's in the chest? It's Emberian Ore
