Heroes++ (v0.2)

Kuvaus

Random encounters with powerful enemies have always sparked interest in exploring locations in Titan Quest further. However, as players progress through the initial stages of the game and acquire a more or less decent build, the enemies intended to test their skills turn out to be far too weak, often requiring only one hit to defeat.

This mod aims to address this issue by introducing truly challenging hero enemies and significantly increasing their numbers.

Features

  • New heroes: The mod introduces a variety of new hero enemies, each designed to pose a challenge even for the most experienced players. These enemies possess unique sets of abilities and characteristics. In total, the mod brings more than 200 new heroic enemies into the game, expanding the pool of opponents for nearly every type of foe present in the original game.

  • New enemy groups: Hero enemies can now appear in groups, creating more challenging situations for players. Players will be able to encounter combinations of new and familiar enemies, adding an element of unpredictability to the game.

  • Hero upgrades: Several well-known heroes have received upgrades, including Toxeus the Murderer, Cinder Bone, Rot Bone, and Frost Marrow. These upgraded versions come in three variations: EX, True, and TrueEX, each offering increased difficulty.

  • "Chuck Norris": In addition to the regular heroes, "Chuck Norris", the hero from the eponymous mod, has been added. His upgraded versions will test players' skills to the utmost.

  • Worthy reward for the challenge: new heroes can use rare equipment, including green and even unique items. The more powerful the enemy, the greater the reward!

  • Three difficulty levels:
    1. Normal mode: close to the original game, with a slightly increased number of heroes.
    2. x5 mode: for those who want a more challenging experience, this mode increases the number of enemy heroes by 5 times. It is not recommended to start new game with this version.
    3. MAX mode: in this mode, heroes appear at every turn in large numbers, making the game extremely difficult. It is also not recommended to start new game with this version.

Current version of mod

At the moment, the mod only adds new enemies to the first act of the game (Greece). For the remaining acts, increased the chances of heroes spawning on the "x5" and "MAX" difficulty levels, where they can appear. I plan to add new unique characters to each act and may change the balance of current heroes.

Afterword

I would like to thank the authors who made the manuals that made it possible to make this mod, namely: WNG and Asylum101.

Additionally, currently working on a smaller-scale mod that I plan to release soon.

Good luck in your hunt for Chucky TrueEX.

Pretty nice, you make good work. Had a similar idea back then. Mod was called "Starlet-Mod" or "Sternchen-Mod" in German. Never finished.
