Items
Most items become useless down the road so sticking to certain items will scale as needed as the game progresses.

Paws -
Count Clawcula = 10% damage to healing (needed at the start but in the end Holy Shield will do most of the work)
2x Felina = Permanent pet (scales well with strength and works well with thorns and reflect)

Items -
2x Hand of Midas = Helps to clear the fluff and extra coins are critical at the start
2x Magnet = Good to keep all coins, Gauntlets and Brass Knuckles together
3x Hand Mirror = Reflect is better than dodge and when transmuted to metal it helps on 1mil+ hits
2x Gauntlet = Scales well once Pearl+ is activated a few times3+ Pearl+ = Pearl is useless unless it is upgraded but it will be needed to boost Gauntlet and Reflect buffs
2x Amulet of Strength = Needed to kick off strength which will scale with Strength potion and pets
3+ Harpoons = 2x item usage (very important to maximise single use items)
1x Paper clip = Will be needed to kill non attacking or poison mobs

Critical items -
5+ Strength potion = Cannot have enough strength it is needed to take down the big enemies and scale with Pets
5+ Holy Shield = Critical item as you cannot block 1mil hits constantly

Upgrade all items when convenient but Magnet and Hand of Midas are important at the start to get the coins rolling in.
Potion of Strength are important to keep damage up
Pearls should also be prioritised as they are useless without the upgrade.

Clear out any unwanted items as they will interfere with strength stacking required to take down the big mobs
Perks
Perks needed at the start and end will vary depending on what is available, some are more obvious than other but below is a starting guide and from there you can take any as needed.

The two below are probably the most important as they will allow your buffs to increase dramatically.
Magic Mirror = First item per turn is used twice (handy for single use items to be used twice)
Picky = Individual items are used twice (handy for single use items to be used twice)

Critical Perks -
5x Saving Account = 10% extra coins based on current coins max 50 x 5 (probably the most important at the start)
20+ Natural Strength = Decent starting strength to multiply with the Strength potion and pets
5x Golden Armor = 2 max health per 10 coins scales well when you have a lot of coins
10+ Catnip = Pets will do the bulk of the damage later on
9x Hard Hits = 10% Crit per perk to make 100% Crit

QoL Perks
5x Reroll token = Will be needed to find those Strength potions and Holy Shields
3x Hoarder = Additional 10 items per drop so try and allow all items to be visible at the start
2x Magnetism = Will help to pickup coins, Brass Knuckles and Gauntlets(Hand Mirror and Amulets once transmuted)
Weaklings = 25% less HP for enemies
1x Blacksmith token(Don't expect to be able to spend coins past level 70)

Anything else is a bonus once base perks are managed
Transmute
Depending on items and strategy Transmuting certain items will help in the long run

Amulet of Strength = Metal (more strength when magnets are used)
Hand Mirror = Metal (easier to reflect damage)
Strength Potion = Metal (half and half to kick off initial strength)
Holy Shield = One or two metal ones to make it easier at the start
Paper Clip = Plastic (avoid hitting thorns or reflect)
Strategies
Room selection
Perks are probably the most important factors in the game so going for Chests first and then ? will help as there is a room with purple bags which contain a mystery perk and getting all 3 bags will make a huge different depending on what you get. (Refer to perks section for what you should be aiming for)

Items will vary but the order of usage will vary depending on the fight.
Holy Shield or Hand Mirror should be used to counter all incoming damage
Strength Potion = Try to use these with Harpoon/Magic Mirror/Picky Perk

Run killers
Too many attacks to handle on first few turns = Holy Shield is the only way to prevent this unless you can stack Reflect to counter
Thorns = Do not attack when you cannot take the thorns damage, let your pets do the dirty work or knock them out early if possible before stacks are too big
Reflect = No point doing a big hit if you cannot handle the reflected damage
Poison = I died on 74th floor because a mob was applying 167k poison stacks.....

Holy Shield and Strength potions are the way to go and letting your pets do the reactive damage being the safest way to play on the higher levels but one weapon will be needed.....maybe a paper clip...

My biggest hit below and a example of the items used

Good luck and enjoy the game as hitting infinity is impossible!

The game appears to be broken as I made it upto level 84 and the mobs buffed thorns during their turn and once the pets reactively attack I died even with mirror buffs on, Holy Shield seems to be a game breaker and buff needs to be on at all times for the what if scenarios unless the pets are broken. Either way there is alot of trial and error needed to push past certain hurdles and a "retry" button would be great for those unexpected failures. Enjoy!
