Roman Arms [Peace Custom]

Description
Background
You lead an advance party to establish a new outpost on the frontier. To prepare for the arrival for the main army, you must prepare a number of provisions so that they can resupply when they arrive.

How to Play
Look in the Peace Custom maps folder in game, you should see a map under the name 'Roman Arms'.

Hints and Tips
  • To get iron, the builders will need stone for the bridge. However, the quarry is guarded by a nearby outlaw camp. Make sure to destroy it promptly and get stone production up and running fast.
  • The iron is not accessible on foot - you will need to provide some scaffolding to get up and down the mine.
  • Archers stationed on the wall should not be moved off as wolves and bandits will harry your workers across the fort.
  • Be careful with your archers, as you will not be given more. Use the mantlets to shield them from enemy fire.

Thank you for entertaining me for a couple hours. Took me 2 attempts but nailed it. Quite a challenge. I found immediately attacking the outlaw camp to be the best strategy, and building walls by the wolves to keep them penned in. Didn't use the mantlets. I tried to keep to the aesthetic of the game and as my city rapidly expanded, I'd keep adding addition square walled sections. Lots of wood cutters needed for this! I think I peaked at around 200 peasants. Start collecting Wool early, and make good use of the market, the high population brings in a good chunk of revenue.

My most southernly production site did get caught out by your well placed and hidden bear, it was swiftly exterminated (after causing a logistical nightmare). Fun map, please make more :)

Hi,
Never saw that before ??? Scaffolding to get acces to the iron mine...I have followed the haulers and that s'work !! ^^
finished the mission with some micro management but luckily you get the possibilities to get food with the market
i was happy to found a peace mission again and sincerely a beatiful classic map with a goodcallenge...:steamthumbsup:
