[WIP] How to Cheat in TITP

In this Guide I will show you how you can cheat in the Game.
I will show you how you can add money, change you're officers Professionalism and much more...

Disclaimer: I would like to say that I don't recommend that you cheat in TITP.
Also what I've seen so far is that save-file editing in this game is a little buggy. So just a heads up.

IMPORTANT: Always make a backup before editing save-files!

Where to find it:

Firstly go to "C:\Users\{Your login}\AppData\LocalLow\Weappy\This Is The Police" (Windows)
(macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/unity.Weappy.This Is The Police)Thx to "Бёрд Киви 🐤" for pointing that out.
There you will see "Save.xml" - Open it.

In there you can see all you're stats, the stats of you're officers and detectives and all you're completed cases.

Edit you're stats/money/etc...

On the first few lines it should look something like this:

Now let's see how we can change things here:

<Day>7</Day>
Shows the day you're on. I would not recommend you change this.

<Money>13631</Money>
<Salary>1320</Salary>
Shows you're current money and how much you earn per week. Change the money to whatever you like. If you change "Money" and add 1000 for example, I would recommend to also change "<MoneyEarned>" to +1000.

<MoneyEarned>12700</MoneyEarned>
<MoneySpent>1469</MoneySpent>
Shows how much money you earned and how much you spent.

<WarningsReceived>0</WarningsReceived>
<OutstandingWarnings>0</OutstandingWarnings>
<ShouldBeArrested>false</ShouldBeArrested>
If the stats look just like this you've been doing everything just fine the last few days :)

Edit you're Officers stats

A few lines after that you should see:

I will only go over the most important things here. You can figure out the rest on you're own.

<Professionalism>190</Professionalism>
The higher the better. Change to whatever you want (will have great effect in-game)

<Badges>0</Badges>
The more badges someone has the better he is as a cop. If you change this number you bassicly promote this officer.

<Shift>A</Shift>
Shows the shift hes on. Wouldn't recommend to change that as it is pretty easy to do that in-game.

There are many other things you can change and modiffy for everyone of you're officers. But things like "<Energy>4</Energy>" and "<Laziness>5</Laziness>" are pretty self explanatory.

Cheating?

I personally would not recommend you do it.
This is the Police is a kind of game where you really shouldn't cheat.
If you are on day 130 and are about to get fired for whatever reason, go ahead. But for every other person I would recommend to just play the game like it's intended.

It doesn't work, i modify the value of the money but it doesn't modify.

FOR ANY ONE WONDERING WHY IT SAY DAY7 JUST GO NEAR THE TOP AND YOU WILL SEE IT SAY GAME STATE ABOVE THE DAY, JUST MINIMIZIE IT AND YOU SHOULD SEE THE NEXT AUTO SAVE UNDER IT

I have a problem, for some reason when I was on day 94 the game bugged and put me back on day 1, I don't know what to do (I never touched the save file until this fail) I'm triying to put me back on the day 94, but I don't know how to do it, can you help me?

Thank you very much. Love the game but I really dont care about the story and the money I have to give to the mafia or whtatever. I just wanna run a precinct :)

For anyone confused by the Day 7- the Save file is sequential. Thats why even though there is the weekly "autosave" you only have 1 save file. You need to scroll down or search for the day you are on. If you edit the stuff at the top its just going to affect if you reload the "Day 7" save. In order to affect other days you need to edit the part of the file under whatever day you are on.

Are dead cops put towards the bottom of the file or towards the top? Or is it in order by date (most likely)

I think they fixed this, even when viewing hidden folders the save file isn't showing up.
