Unless this is a prototype for a replacement for the existing forums, it seems a bit of an odd duplication.

This is great stuff, and I see that you have implemented forum formatting as well. 2 suggestions:
  • Email notifications for thread updates!
  • A notification system or summary dashboard that centralizes all discussions we are currently posting in or subscribed to. (Maybe this is implemented and I'm missing it)
  • A re-sizeable textarea for the replies (the thing I'm typing into right now) It's gets awfully small when you start to post longer replies.

We need to rate comments! and be able to order them depending on rate or date ascending and decending.

I would like this too. We have to build out a more robust email system to handle the frequency this could eventually require.

There is such a place. If you click into the notifications area (the little envelope icon in the upper-right corner of Steam) you'll find a list of threads that have replies. This will list any topic that you started, topics that you've recently participated in, or topics that you subscribe to. This area just show threads that have replies.

The text area should be getting larger as you type more into it. Is it not doing that for you? Does it end up scrolling instead?

How come we can't use bombs in the map editor? Or am I missing something?

I would like a difficulty rating for the maps, a voting for easy-medium-difficult would make my experience so much better!

Also an option to filter out the already played maps perhaps?

I can see there being room for both. Almost makes me want to...write something. :)

Edit: No smiley images makes me :(

Someone above mentioned forum formatting. Does that mean BBCode works in these discussions? If so, it might be a good idea to expose that somehow--right now there is no indication I can find that any formatting is possible. Edit: bold and italic test

Sweet! Didn't realize you could edit things after posting. Looks like color tags don't work but bold and italic do.
Yay,
  • so
  • do
  • lists
But not text size, at least not with the [size] tag.
