“Maps In-Game:

Currently, Last Remains offers one city map designed to highlight the stealth and tactical gameplay central to the experience. This map provides varied environments that encourage different strategies for survival, combat, and extraction. Looking ahead, we plan to introduce additional areas to diversify the gameplay within the extraction loop. These could include new city maps and other unique locations, adding complexity and depth to the available strategies players can use.

Extraction and Loot System:

At present, Last Remains features a high-risk, high-reward extraction system. Players gather loot throughout the map and attempt to extract while facing threats from zombies and other players. Successfully extracting grants rewards, such as in-game items that can be used in future runs or potentially traded. This system is designed to provide a dynamic and tactical experience right from the start. We are planning to expand the extraction system with additional mechanics and content variety, enhancing the risk-reward balance and adding to the overall tension and excitement.


The Mutation System

The mutations system has a base system implemented to show the intention and the fun of it. We plan to expand this feature as we move to full release on feedback we receive from our community.”

“Players can experience the primary PvPvE combat, where they face off against other human players. The game's core loop of stealth, combat, and extraction-based missions is fully playable.

The mutation system is partially implemented, allowing players to experience gradual infection and the ability to harness buffs at the cost of increased risk. This system adds a layer of strategy, but it is still being fine-tuned for balance.

The Early Access version is still undergoing active development, and as such, players may encounter bugs, server instability, or balance issues. Regular patches and updates are planned to address these concerns based on player feedback.”

Feedback Surveys: After each playtest, we will gather detailed feedback through surveys and community polls. This input will be crucial for fine-tuning the game and addressing player concerns early in the development process.
Discord & Social Media Interaction: The Last Remains Discord server will serve as the main hub for player-developer interaction. Developers will participate in AMA sessions (Ask Me Anything), where players can ask questions about upcoming content, development progress, and roadmap plans. Social media channels will also feature regular updates, polls, and developer blogs.
Community-Driven Bug Fixes: Players can report bugs and issues through dedicated channels, and high-priority fixes will be addressed based on community input, with frequent updates about progress.
