Game saves lost?

I was about halfway through hiragana part, my PC crashed and somehow gamesave seems wipes and I need to start completely from scratch. Is there any way to skip to where I was? Where would game saves be stored so I could at least try and back up in the future?...

I am a beginner, so apologies if I am missing something, But I started trying to look up words with indicated meaning, but rarely find a match; e.g. uo (romaji) as fish.
