Achievements not working?
Hey, I have a question.. Somehow I do not get the farm, forest and village acheivements. I got the ones for train tracks and rivers. I do not play in creative. (trains and rivers worked) And I definitely had fields bigger than 25, etc.. Any ideas?

Are you not getting the achievement even though the relevant challenge is active, that is, one of the three tracked challenges in the upper right of the screen?

As cerideuen mentions, achievements must be 'active'. Had a screenshot handy so thought I'd show it:

That is the reason. No it is not active in the top corner.

(E.g. I currently have to have a river with 100 tiles.. Any idea why those more difficult challanges come before the farm / town / forest easiest challenge?)

Try restarting until you get a combo you like as I heard that they are random each game.

Thank you :) Re-starting you mean from the very beginning? Then I would loose my progress, is this right? But if I complete the current challenges (river etc.), the other (farm etc.) challenges should also come up, or how do I normally unlock "new" challenges?

You would loose current progress. Perhaps the thing to do is complete this map as much as you can.
Challenges only come up once they've been unlocked, starting from the next new game. You can tell which are unlocked from the 'Rewards' page.
Any not currently unlocked will come up via 'ghost' tiles, and will have a crown on the quest bubble. You need to actually complete the bubble quest as just revealing the ghost tile is not enough to unlock the challenges.

I have a question along a similar lines: I got this game for a friend (he will receive it on Christmas day). But I was curious: There are achievements I am guessing? But what about comparing scores with other players online?

Yes, there is a leader board, I think that it can also be filtered to (Steam) friends, but, I have no friends who have tried this so there I come first middle and last.. On the main one 5,000+. Some challenge then to reach a notable spot.

And, there are Steam Achievements.

Unfortunately I'm having trouble with the achievements as well... There are several achievements (among them Großbauer I und II, Dorfbewohner I und II und Entdecker I), I definitely passed but they didn't get unlocked in Steam. Makes me really sad because I love collecting Steam achievements :steamsad:

Steam Achievements are linked to their ingame counterparts. If you have not unlocked a particular Challenge ingame (e.g. the "Großbauer" line) you will not be getting the Steam Achievement even if you 'fulfill' its requirements.

Sorry to warm this up... when i double click on one of the three upper left achievement icons, there will by a white blip over them. what does this mean?
