I LOVE YOHANE SO MUCH!!!!

A Metroidvania with "Love Live! Sunshine" characters slapped on. It is what you'd expect of a metroidvania with double jump, wall climb, backtracking, inaccessible area until you get a certain ability. The story is whatever. I didn't expect much of a story, only played for the gameplay. I'll just get to the main points that stands out to me. The pixal art character sprite. It's beautiful and great as always coming from INTI CREATES. The weapon and accessories you're able to equip that raise your HP and give you other effects. But you have to find materials to create new equipments through the dungeon, mainly defeating enemies. There are some sealed chest that are basically upgrade item to the characters. But you have to go back to "town" and go through the "accept quest" scene corresponding to the character first before being able to pick up the item. A minor annoyance because it breaks my dungeon crawl pacing. The difficulty is very easy, even at early game. Why? Because if you grind/farm for yens, you can just buy and hoard up to 99 healing items and just brute force and face tank though the bosses and game. At the end of the game, there will be a boss gauntlet. You're able to heal in between each gauntlet boss. But that doesn't really matter. What makes the endgame's difficulty a joke than it already is because of ONE upgrade ability. The ability to STOP TIME. It effects ALL ENEMIES. Even the final boss. Effectively just ends up freezing time then hitting the boss till it die. Or you can choose not to if that's what you want. Other than that, the bosses fights are mostly fair. Finally, the game feels short for its price tag. So I recommend buying on at least 50% off. Unless you like INTI CREATES's games, buy full price. But the game shouldn't be 30 USD for a game that's 6-9 hours to 100%. Over all I enjoyed it. I give it a 7.5/10
