Crashing on Startup - Plugin Loader
If you use Plugin Loader and have recently found your game crashing on launch, it is because PluginLoader, while still on the workshop, isn't no longer accessible through there any more due to changes. The old plugin loader from GitHub will also not work from Automaton onwards. The new version for after the Automaton update is however available here following the Automaton Update:

How to remove Launch Options
Open your Steam Library

1 - Right click Space Engineers and select Properties.

2 - On the General tab you'll find Launch Options section.

3 - Remove the launch options, delete all in that text box.

4 - Close the game's Properties window and launch the game.

Also specified in the old Workshop item description :

I was literally about to reset(Format) my pc.

I was about to complain, modders do an excellent job making the game better until the developers try to make a STUPID update and screw it all up. Then modders have to FIX their problem. Typical. This last update is USELESS to say the least.

All I know Is my game not working now. Running Linux - Proton and I tried this plugin loader and still getting the C+++ error. Not sure that I'm doing wrong here...

Also on linux with proton, but never used any plug-in loader... looks like they added a new C++ library requirement in the latest update and it's not being installed by proton. Will probably have to wait for proton update to fix

I haven't had any issues. Game runs. Download the launcher, put it in Bin64, use the launcher to start the game.

I don't understand why I require this. I have no plugins installed nor any mods subscribed yet. To get the game running, I need to use the launcher. I literally clicked do not install and the game doesn't CTD.

I've also done a fresh install.

You shouldn't need to use the Plug-Ins Launcher if you aren't using any plug-ins. It's purely for people who want to use plug-in versions of mods.

There is no "install" function, other than copying the launcher exe file into the SE bin64 folder, and using it to launch SE instead.

But since you already said you aren't using plug-ins, don't use this launcher. it's not an official Keen component for Space Engineers, and you shouldn't need to use it to start the vanilla game.

And yet, when I click launch on Steam Instant CTD, I've never had an issue loading SE when using the launcher provided via this. I can at least get to the menu, but then I can't load a save.

The new launcher does have an installation. It installs the plugins that have been updated.

You do not need the launcher in this post if you do not use plug-ins. Just launch the game from Steam.

I worked on this issue last night, removed all mods, deleted a bunch of cache items including my save games, fresh install and still couldn't get the error to clear. Until i went into the Steam launch options and removed plugin loader from that. It worked right away. Even after the fresh install, the launch option didn't clear.

Are you using this as the launch option line?:
-plugin PluginLoader.dll
That's what we should be using.
