what is the best non roman and roman faction in this game? modded and unmodded from the files only base game

I have remastered but coming back to this again, who else ? I think that remastered graphics feels abit cartoony and this one is more gritty although outdated.

Windows 11. Upon launch, video screen flickers rapidly black on and screen off then black Have to restart computer completely each time after trying to launch it Tried running in compatibility mode, launching from .exe and running as administrator which worked in the past for old games but does not work. Tried override high dpi scaling > application in properties too. Also did not work. And yet the tw games before this like Shogun 1 and mtw1 total war launches and works just fine still? Strange.....

I have almost 1000 hours in RTW on Steam, it's one of my all time favorite games. I haven't played in a few weeks, decided to jump back in last night. Launched the game, but it won't load anything past the first kinda title screen with all the trademark info on it. Never had this happen before, and I don't want to uninstall/reinstall and lose all my saved games. Any ideas on what the problem is and how to solve? Please help me lol...
