ABOUT Nox Player Group

This is a group for people playing the game "Nox" by Westwood Studios.

Nox is an action RPG that has received praise, but was overshadowed by Diablo 2, which was released about the same time.

The game was released back in 2000 and was created by Michael Booth. He was also the founder of Turtle Rock Studios, the developer of Left 4 Dead and Counter-strike: Source. Turtle Rock Studios then got acquired by Valve, but went independent again. Currently, they're working on the game Evolve[evolvegame.com].

Westwood studios was acquired by Electronic Arts, and they decided to terminate development of the Nox franchise. The game pretty much has a status as abandonware. It is unknown if EA, or anyone else, have any plans to ever bring this franchise back to life.
