Based on map information/feedback from the Sad to see all the broken custom maps thread, a number of maps were listed that needed updates. I decided to make a separate thread for updates regarding those maps that will be updated every so often. So far, I have finished updating the following maps:

Each of the above have a dropbox link so that they can be downloaded. These files are .zip so its easier to download/move them. Users should put them in their map directories while server owners should do what they normally do with them. Also, here is the Map Changelog[www.dropbox.com] for those curious as to what changed.

The Lake Maps for ZPS have been updated to new versions and are available for download. You can find the link to all of these maps here:

The biggest part of the update was mainly standardizing some elements of the maps (such as timers and messages), replacing random ammo/weapon/item spawns, as well as variety of fixes for each map. No maps received any major changes or overhauls that make them completely different than they were before.

All Church Maps have been updated with fixes and improvements. To see all the specific changes to the maps, see the changelog here:

The biggest change is to the map zpo_church_autumn_sfr_v5 which has had the following changes:

• White house is completely rebuilt with new rooms, a basement, and a much more interesting look. Its not a box anymore!
  
• The basement is no longer flooded and acts much like other church map basements (you can hide there easier).
  
• The tower's barricade door/gimmick has been replaced by a functioning door that can be toggled.

This is along with changes that fix a rather nasty bug/server crash with the church maps that was found to have occurred with the explosive traps + the crypt doors. I have mitigated the issue (hopefully) and after some testing, I did not run into the problem (and I hope others don't either). Special thanks to Moonwalker, his community, and an unnamed ZPS dev that figured out the problem that was being caused and relayed this information to me. Had I not known or received feedback, I would have never been able to fix it!

Now that the church maps have been updated, I believe I'll be heading to work on the Lake Maps once more to update them next, followed by the cabin maps after when I have time. Some of the changes I made to the church maps will be going to the other maps as well, at least those that are applicable anyway, so that is reason enough to go back over them again.

Its been a while, but I finally got around to finishing up some changes on
church skittles for ZPS. I had heard there were server crashes involving the map, so I did what I could to clear those up with a number of changes to the map. If you want to read what I've changed, look through the changelog which will be posted in a link below.

I may, time permitting, do another round of updates for all of the maps with the changes I made to skittles. Some of the changes were more efficient or had resulted in less entity/edict counts, which is usually beneficial for these kinds of maps, so that might be a good update down the road. No promises or time estimates on that, but I'll be sure to announce it here when it happens.

In anticipation of this update, I updated the maps in May of 2019 with many of the changes implemented in it based on the 3.1 beta that was available at the time. These updates also include zpo_baptism_sfr_v1 which is a map made by DaC that I finished up and released. Its been a long time since the map saw any play, but its now available for play in the church maps dropbox links.

There is a chance that some things changed since the last update to these maps for 3.1, but for the most part, the maps should have most of the major things changed. If not, feel free to update the maps as necessary, but be sure to read the readme file on the github repo and give proper credit to the authors if you do, please!

UPDATE: Due to a mistake with some of the maps that allowed props to be broken, I have uploaded new files of the following:

- zpo_church_skittles_sfr_v6
- zpo_church_xmas_sfr_v6
- zpo_cabin_outbreak_dfr_v5

The other maps were fine after looking over them briefly. As an fyi, in ZPS 3.1 prop_physics/prop_physics_multiplayer entities now have an option called "Unbreakable" and it is set to "No" by default, meaning these entities can be broken by zombies and survivors. To fix this, these entities had to be set to "Yes" in order to make them unbreakable. This was in ZPS 3.1 during the beta in 2019, but I had accidentally forgot to update those three maps properly last year, embarrassingly enough. Regardless, it has been fixed now and should be fine. Keep this in mind if any of you are working on ZPS maps that have moveable physics props or you'll simply be able to break them, lol.

I have also updated the ZPSMapRepo's .vmf files to reflect this update as well so those are all squared away now too. Let me know if the files downloads work or not.
