Garry's mod is not just a game but the childhood for anyone born during and before the 2000s

Apart from that there are many old servers in this game that are continuing to host players for almost 2 decades at this point.

The charm and nostalgic vibe of source engine and the half life 2 universe is unmatched and to be able to build your own story in the world of half life 2 is an even more fulfilling and rewarding experience.


I belong to a 3rd world country where most people play pirated games and I've been one of those people too, I've spent a lot of time in the world of Garry's mod and that's why these hours on steam don't do it justice. It's only the hours that are counted since the time I had money to repay the developers. I've sent thousands of hours into gmod since my early years and even as an adult I'll continue to keep revisiting this nostalgic gem.

S&box may be better, may have an optimized engine and even be superior in every aspect but it still won't be able to replace Garry's mod in the hearts of loyal players who hold it near and dear to their hearts.


I rarely write long reviews anymore as I'm a busy adult now but I still wanted to write down my thoughts for a game that holds so many memories of mine and made mine and many other people's childhood great.
