TL:DR I kinda wish there was a 'maybe' option for reccomendations...

The main 'fault' of the game, if you even wanna call it that, is the armor system. You can stack up a LOT of armor onto your character, but late game it's...useless. A lot of people have pointed it out too that honestly the best thing to do with armor is to either ignore it and try to get weapons that pretty much one-shot enemies (who's armor ACTUALLY works, from what I gather), all the while working on evasion and health. They also made it so you can't do a 'new-game plus' which...doesn't matter for some players, but for others you can't bring your old Rangers back into the world. They kinda made up for it with making it where you essentally get 34 attribute points and 102 skill points (not including the ones you get from character creation) but sometimes you wanna take your pre-made badass back through the entire thing again and make different choices.

I, personally, don't mind it, but one thing I kinda do wish that they kept was how they did the Quirks in Wasteland 2. Cause honestly in 3 there's only one obvious anwser. That's the one that lets you resist all elements 100%.

No fire/frost/shock/poison damage, at all...with the only downside being a -5% to your experience...

Again, the games alright, if you're into top down-turn based games based in the wasteland, the more obvious faction bar I like as well, and I like that there's no real good/evil option given NPCs will kinda mention how, for example, killing cannibals or even what you consider your main foe? They'll chastise you for it. Make what you believe is the right choice and people will hate you for it.

Then, in the same day, you can go out and kill a buncha clowns in their big top. You can meet a little mutant who wants 'candy', you can meet someone who's part of the illumati, you can find a brothel that employs a goat and you can get mocked by two idiots who say that you should 'turn in your halo, it's getting rusty.'

So, in short, fun game, and obviously has the sorta wasteland/fallout feeling of having serious points while also having insane idiots who wanna just have fun with the world they've inhereted.

Edit: So, I finished the game. And I'll be bluntly honest.

It's...dissapointing, to say the least. I won't say HOW it ended (given there's a few endings, or least I thought could be ways to end it) but to put it simply? The DLCs were more difficult than the base game's 'endgame'. But not cause they have more skillful battles, but literally because the weapons I got, that could barely do anything except the bare minimum to the DLC enemies, mulched through anything in the last mission. It purely was a power trip, sure, but it really felt like they were building up something that had no chance at all to win.

My armor when I figured out the little 'trick' was pretty much impervious to what was thrown at me, the enemies I was placed agianst stood no chance. Sure I was playing on normal but...wow. Would I wanna play again? No, absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ not. Why? Cause the DLC are absolute slogs. Steeltown is more tolorable than Holy detnoation and honestly I just didn't want to ever deal with the cultists again, even moreso given how they seemed to get MORE spongy when I finished the DLC.

Would I reccomend the game? Now that I've completed it? Still a maybe leaning towards yes. It's an intresting little time waster and I did my best to do everything I could in one playthough, and obviously there's a LOT I missed, there's a lot of secret achievements, stuff I could do, but I feel like I got everything I wanted out of it.

It's an alright game, I guess a 7/10.
