Unfortunately dead space 2 will not be remade because this game was considered "A failure" due to "poor sales". Just goes to show EA is only good for inhaling their own farts and drudging up a nice big plate of feces for us to enjoy

Let me be clear, this game is incredibly buggy. I've had multiple ctds, cutscene issues, stuff not spawning, weapons in my inventory randomly appearing and enemies spawning ontop of me. That being said, this is one of the greatest singleplayer experiences next to Elden Ring I've ever had. A-life is not yet working properly, but the dev team has every intention of fixing these issues, along with releasing a very extensive mod sdk. The exploration and feel of the game captures the soul of the original trilogy. Despite all the issues, as a stalker fan I just cant help but love this game. If you enjoyed the first 3 you should enjoy this all the same.

Solid art, good game direction, fun gameplay.

This is a historical moment, the gaming community came together as a whole and got a poor decision walked back through sheer outrage. The game is absolutely worth buying for the gameplay alone, as long as Sony continues to make good decisions.

A few of my favorite interactions so far.

On Titan, my friend attempted to fight a bunker spider with a shovel. The last words I heard were "ITS NOT WORKING" before it toppled him over and ate his face, then carried him away.

Following that interaction, I made it back to the ship slightly ahead of my last remaining friend, all I heard was "Oh." before a giant picked him up and ate him.

I hear a scream on one of the jump pits, turn around and my 2 followers turned into 1, I asked the one who was alive "Where's he at?" He looks at me, looks down and looks back up before saying "Below."

In all honesty I haven't laughed this hard at a game in a very long time, its definitely worth the 10 bucks.

Now that Immortal Empires has released I can say I truly enjoy this game. Performance issues are (mostly) worked out, a lot of the more annoying bugs are gone and the gameplay is much more enjoyable without a railroad. The most recent DLC shows they haven't lost touch and the dev team in charge of updating the game is much more qualified than the team that actually made the game.

So I'm probably around the point where I can confidently say I would recommend this game, but I wouldn't recommend it for a solo player. If you have a group of friends and you enjoy PvP it's a relatively enjoyable experience and the game has a lot to offer in terms of exploration and just "things to do" in general, though the sense of progression is purely cosmetic. It gets a large update every month so there's always something to do if you stop playing for a while. Whether it's on sale or just the full price I would definitely recommend you pick it up if you have a group of friends and you're all looking for a decent way to kill time.

The variety in the game alone is valid reason enough to pick it up and play it. Nothing ever really feels the same so a grind doesn't feel like a grind. I've had a lot of fun with friends and alone and I would definitely recommend picking it up full price or on sale. The only problem I have is the delay in updates.
