Game Ban - Destiny 2

Grinding Destiny during the day, decided to play something else for probably no longer than half an hour and didn't want to close Destiny, because I wanted to keep playing it afterwards, without having to wait the ~3-5 minutes that it takes for Destiny to boot. Used MelonLoader on that other game (which would literally never be picked up by any other anti-cheat, since it has nothing to do with any other game in specific) and never interacted with Destiny 2 in any way, and, without warning - the next day, when I logged into my account, I had an account alert - telling me that I had received a game ban in Destiny 2. At first I was confused, but then I immediately suspected MelonLoader and had a gut feeling that it was what had gotten me banned (because I had previously never kept Destiny open when playing other games, especially ones that include things like MelonLoader) and although I didn't think MelonLoader would be picked up by their anti-cheat, I still logged into Destiny to see, and I confirmed that it was "for cheating".

To add insult to injury, Bungie support is the absolute worst support team I've ever encountered (saying "encountered" is an overstatement and a half, since this "team" must be lead by ghostly apparitions as they are practically non-existant) . Under their "Ban Appeals" section, they purposefully added a message saying "we cannot guarantee that we will respond to your message", and this was only under the ban appeals section, basically, to translate, it is an immediate "♥♥♥♥ you" to anyone who has ever been banned, they do not want to deal with that shxt. To play Devil's advocate, I'd say it's probably because most of the ban appeals are legitimate cheaters that try to act like they did nothing wrong, but I also have a reasonable suspicion that they are legitimately just the most god awful game studio support team who purposefully ignore ban appeals, because they don't want to deal with them. I sent 3 different e-mails over the span of ~2 months and none of them ever got a response, I gave up on e-mails afterwards. I even made threads on the Destiny 2 forums, got no staff response. It was as pathetic, as Bungie has always been, I just never noticed, until I had first-hand experience with it myself.


VAC Ban - Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Accidentally stumbled on a very, very old account of mine that I neither remembered the log-in username, nor the password for. Contacted Steam Support to try to recover this account, and because I linked my e-mail with a 7-8 year old VAC ban, it carried over to this account, dumb ass mistake by me, can't blame anyone but myself for this one. Luckily though this account already had a game ban, so it wasn't nearly as disappointing as the first.
