My ex-wife is now trying to gain custody of my son. I can't let her take him from me. He is all I have left now. I need a heir to my legacy. My own flesh and blood. And to think that I once spoke so highly of my wife, she is no longer the love of my life. Just a burden. Another obstacle that needs to vanish.

The sign is a subtle joke. The shop is called "Sneed's Feed & Seed", where feed and seed both end in the sound "-eed", thus rhyming with the name of the owner, Sneed. The sign says that the shop was "Formerly Chuck's", therefore, if we change "Sneed" to "Chuck", we get "Chuck's Feed and Seed".
