This is a fun game that lasts way too long and slowly breaks down and becomes a frustrating slog that you fight your way through out of a sense of completion.

If this was an existential reflection on life I would recommend it, but I don't think it is.

EDIT: a lot of time has passed and work has been done on the game since this was last posted. Crappier DLCs were made free, everything was made cheaper. A lot of the timing issues were solved and certain decisions made scripted instead of timed so it's clear the intent is for perfection to be impossible.

This is probably the CRPG of the generation, not counting BG3. WotR makes a lot of further improvements, but it's a lot busier and more drawn out. If you grab this and the big DLCs in a sale you'll have a good time for the money.
