It's more of the same... but in a good way :D

A masterpiece.

I was really looking forward to this game, but I don't think it's in a good place right now. Plus, the special editions are ridiculously expensive and don't offer much.

My main problems with the game right now:

• UI is hideous. Everything is huge, basic and looks like it came from a mobile game. Plus a lot of things lack basic functionality, like being able to drag and drop resources and works into slots.
  
• AI is very dumb. I had a scout stuck next to my city going back and forth in the same spot for dozens of turns until I decided to mercy kill it. I've had lone units surrounded by hostile units (cuz apparently barbarians is offensive now?) that were completely ignored.
  
• Lackluster selection of leaders. With the focus being switched from civilizations (you now get to pick several different ones throughout the ages, but keep the same leader), I expected there to be much more leader varieties to choose from. Plus, several of them are just reskins.
  
• Basic game customization features are gone. Why is the biggest map size "standard"? Why can't I pick how many civs I want in the map? There's only a few map types and there's no real explanation of the differences. What's "Continents Plus"?

It's a shame because the core gameplay seems solid and fun, but this honestly feels like it should have been Early Access. I'll gladly come back to the game some years from now if they improve it.

I honestly expected this to be a trainwreck, but it's a worthy modern Silent Hill.

Very solid game, fun characters and setting. Thank you Artificer, for not letting this genre die.

It's more of an expansion than a sequel, but still pretty fun if you liked Knight's Tale.
